This video will change your mind about meditation

Do you like the idea of meditation but thought it wasn’t for you? Let us introduce you to Broody the Brain in this video – created by Amit Sood, M.D. who is a professor of medicine at the Mayo Clinic and the author of The Mayo Clinic Guide to Stress-Free Living.

Like many of us, Broody the Brain is intrigued by the well-documented benefits of meditation. A Carnegie Mellon University study indicated that just 25 minutes of mindfulness meditation for three consecutive days can alleviate psychological stress. However, Broody struggled practising it and assumed it just wasn’t for him. But, as the video shows, it might be our misguided views of what meditation is that’s preventing us embracing the ancient art.

“Meditation isn’t draining your brain empty, it is filling your brain with love plenty,” Broody the Brain learns in the video. “Meditation isn't leaving the world behind, it is being engaged, feeling content and kind.”

Broody soon learns that meditation isn’t confined by rules or a “right” way to practice it. It’s much less complicated than most people think and can be as simple and personally tailored as you want. In the end, Broody the Brain now sees meditation transforms, “the mundane and simple [to] miraculous and spectacular.”

If you thought meditation just wasn’t for you, watch Broody the Brain’s journey in the video below.
