Mango sorbet
A healthier alternative to ice-cream, this mango sorbet makes a delicious treat on a hot summer’s day.
Serves: 4
Ingredients:
- ½ cup caster sugar
- 1 cup water
- 500g mangoes, peeled and diced
Method:
1. Add sugar and water into saucepan over low heat until sugar is dissolved. Bring to boil and cook for 1 minute. Set aside to cool to room temperature.
2. Place mango and sugar syrup in food processor. Blend until smooth. Pour into stainless steel bowl or container. Cover with cling wrap and freeze for an hour or until edges begin to freeze. Add to food processor and mix again. Return to container and freeze for another one to two hour or until sorbet is frozen. Serve.
