Strawberry and banana smoothie

Smoothies are a great way to start the day as well as up your fruit and vege intake. They'll also give you a good boost of vitamins and minerals in something that's easy to drink, refreshing and delicious.

Ingredients:

  • 1 banana (pre-frozen) 
  • 5 medium-sized strawberries 
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla essence or extract
  • 1/2 cup natural yoghurt
  • 1/2 cup milk (cow's, almond, or soy)
  • 1 tablespoon ground LSA
  • 1 teaspoon runny honey (optional)

Method:

  1. Place all ingredients in a blender or food processor and blend until smooth.
  2. If you don't have frozen bananas, use fresh bananas and a small handful of ice cubes.
  3. To serve, pour into glasses.
