Strawberry and rhubarb pie

There’s not much nicer for dessert than a slice of a sweet fruit pie. Combine this strawberry and rhubarb filling recipe with your favourite flakey pastry for a decadent treat you’ll be raving about.

Ingredients:

  • 3 ½ cups chopped rhubarb
  • 3 ½ ups strawberries, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • ⅛ cup cornflour
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • Raw sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon water
