Kerri-Anne Kennerley privately sells Woollahra home for huge sum

Kerri-Anne Kennerley has let go of her 1870s era Woollahra home for an estimate of $23 million.

The television and radio presenter shared the historic two-storey residence with her late husband, John Kennerley, after purchasing it for $2.49 million in 1997.

She reportedly told friends she would only consider selling the 892 sqft home if she was offered a “silly price” as it is “too big” for her.

Other friends told the media she was fed up with the pool maintenance and had no desire for the self-contained studio.

The deal was done off-market with private agents, realestate.com.au reported, and went for around $22-23 million.

John, who passed away in 2019, had been a major model train enthusiast and the pair had reportedly built train tracks around the home which snaked around the property and outside of the pool.

Kerri-Anne and John married in 1984 - a day she says was the happiest moment of her life.

“We had a beautiful wedding at the Opera House, [with] 150 family and friends,” she told Leo Schofield for Wentworth Courier.

Sadly in 2016, John fell over a low balustrade.

It left him a quadriplegic and he tragically died three years later.

Kennerley has been in the industry for more than 50 years, and is an inductee into the Logie Hall of Fame
