Queensland MP pleads with Taylor Swift to bring her tour to town

When international music sensation Taylor Swift announced her international tour dates, most Australian fans fell into one of two categories: delighted or devastated.

For while the star was answering the prayers of thousands and bringing her Eras Tour down under, she was only set to play in Sydney and Melbourne, leaving a number of other major cities out of the loop.

And while most took to social media to share their heartbreak, some even launching a change.org petition to bring her their way, one Queensland MP and Swift superfan opted instead to share his heartbreak with reporters down in Canberra.

Andrew Wallace, who joined the Swiftie ranks thanks to car rides with his daughters and a soundtrack courtesy of the singer-songwriter’s impressive catalogue, also seized it as an opportunity to beg Taylor to reconsider her tour dates, and bless Brisbane with her presence.

“Interestingly, there is about a week in between her three concerts in Sydney and two concerts in Melbourne. That is the perfect opportunity,” he pointed out.

“Taylor, I’m asking you, begging you, I’m pleading with you. I’ll get down on my knees if I have to. Please come to Queensland. There are so many Swiftie fans in Queensland. I am one of them.”

As he went on to note, addressing “the guys at Frontier Touring”, it wasn’t clear why Queensland had been left out, as “it’s the first time Taylor will be visiting Australia and not Queensland.”

Wallace wasn’t the only one with strong feelings on the matter either, with Sports Minister - and fellow Queenslander - Anika Wells dropping by the press conference to announce that it was an “outrage” to be excluded, and Taylor should know that all too well.

However, Wallace wasn’t going to hold it against Taylor, promising that their love story would continue as “no one would ever be able to develop ‘Bad Blood’ between myself and Taylor Swift. It just would not be possible.”

He even went on to dedicate an entire section of his own website to the cause, where he reiterated that he was “the dad of four daughters, and I’m an unashamed Swiftie. And I’m a proud Queenslander who knows that thousands of fans are disappointed to see Queensland left off the Eras Tour map.

“I’m calling on Frontier Touring to extend Taylor’s tour to Queensland – and particularly to the Sunshine Coast, the heart of Queensland’s Swiftie population
we know that a visit to the Sunshine Coast would mean the world to tens of thousands of Queenslanders who think the absolute world of Taylor Swift.”

Images: Facebook

Nick Kyrgios’ legal case with “drunk” fan settled

Nick Kyrgios has settled his legal case with the woman he accused of being drunk during one of his matches at Wimbledon.

Kyrgios was playing against Rafael Nadal at Wimbledon in July when the Aussie star complained to the umpire about Anna Palus who was “costing him the game”.

He said Palus was "drunk out of her mind" and "looks like she's had 700 drinks" which she took offence to after being removed from the crowd.

Palus took offence to Kyrgios’ comments and proceeded to seek legal representation wanting to sue the tennis player for defamation.

However, the case has been settled with Kyrgios apologising to Palus and donating money to a charity of her choosing.

“On 10 July 2022, during the Wimbledon men’s final, I told the umpire that a fan, who I now know to be Anna Palus, was distracting me during the match, believing that she was drunk,” his statement via Knight Temple Law read.

“I accept that belief was mistaken, and I apologise.

“To make amends, I have donated ÂŁ20,000 to the Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity, a charity chosen by Ms Palus.

“I will not be commenting on this matter again.”

Image: Getty

Fan accused of being drunk by Nick Kyrgios wants to sue him

A tennis fan who was accused by Nick Kyrgios of being drunk during a Wimbledon match wants to sue him for defamation.

Kyrgios was playing against Rafael Nadal at Wimbledon back in July when the Aussie star complained to the umpire about Anna Palus who was “costing him the game”.

He said Palus was "drunk out of her mind" and "looks like she's had 700 drinks" which she took offence to after being removed from the crowd.

Palus has since hired legal representation and is looking to sue Kyrgios for defamation following his comments.

“On Sunday July 10 2022 I attended the final of the Wimbledon tennis championships with my mother. It was an event we had been looking forward to for some time,” Palus’ statement read.

“During the course of the final, Nick Kyrgios made a reckless and entirely baseless allegation against me.

“Not only did this cause considerable harm on the day, resulting in my temporary removal from the arena, but Mr Kyrgios’s false allegation was broadcast to, and read by, millions around the world causing me and my family very substantial damage and distress.”

"She's drunk out of her mind and talking to me in the middle of a game. Given the extant claim, I am unable to comment further on the events of the day in question.

“I hope that Mr Kyrgios will reflect on the harm he has caused me and my family and offer a prompt resolution to this matter.”

“However, if he is unwilling to do this, I am committed to obtaining vindication in the High Court.

Images: Getty

Pro cyclist shot dead at 25, suspect at large

Elite cyclist Anna Moriah “Mo” Wilson was preparing to compete in a marathon race in Texas, before she was shot and killed at a friend's home in Austin.

The 25-year-old athlete was hot off the trail of a series of successes in her spring season before she was killed.

US Marshals are investigating her death, as they search for a 34-year-old woman suspected of her murder, while police investigators are digging into Wilson’s past relationship with the suspect’s boyfriend.

Wilson’s family is mourning the loss of their “beautiful daughter and sister,” who excelled as a biker and skier.

“Moriah was a talented, kind, and caring young woman. Her life was taken from her before she had the opportunity to achieve everything she dreamed of,” the family said.

Moriah was at the top of her game in the relatively new sport of gravel racing, and was just days from participating in the Gravel Locos bike race at the time of her death.

The day after the race, an event organiser remembered her on Facebook as a “role model, a shy compassionate person, a spirited tactical racer and a competitor that genuinely cared about those competing against you.”

Kaitlin Marie Armstrong, a 34-year-old Austin resident, is wanted for homicide in the killing and is now a fugitive, the US Marshals said.

Both women had recently been in romantic relationships with the same man - professional cyclist Colin Strickland - and messages and interviews with tipsters suggest jealousy could be a potential motive, according to the affidavit filed in Travis County District Court.

Top 15 Places to Visit in NSW

Overseas travel is not much of an option right now and interstate travel can be restricted. But it’s still possible to get away and have a wonderful time travelling in your own state so for starters - here's some of the top areas to visit in NSW.

Regional areas of NSW are booming right now because everyone’s finding there’s so much to see. Visiting a regional town in NSW is the perfect getaway and it’s nice to know that at the same time, you’re supporting these communities at a time when they need it most.

It could be a good idea to avoid the school holidays though. The NRMA has reported a ‘three-fold’ increase in regional bookings compared to the same period last year, with more people booking a domestic holiday and staying longer than they normally would do.

If you’re ready for a spot of travel but you’re not sure where to go, here’s a list of the Top 16 places to visit within NSW.

Byron Bay

Yes, we know just about everyone is going to Byron Bay right now but this town is truly an Australian icon. It was a major hippie and alternative centre in the 60s and you can still the remnants of this. But now it’s a popular spot for many people taking a relaxing holiday with their families and enjoying the friendly atmosphere of the town.

There are a number of gorgeous beaches and some fantastic shops. Of course, you can do some celebrity spotting while you’re there – you might see Zac Efron (from The Greatest Showman) or you could bump into either Chris or Liam Hemsworth. So, keep your eyes peeled!

You can also visit Australia’s most powerful lighthouse which is still active and is great for a perfect view of the town.

The Snowy Mountains

Called ‘the Snowies’ by the locals, this mountain range is the highest in Australia and includes Mount Kosciuszko which is the highest peak we have at 2,228 metres above sea level.

These mountains experience large amounts of snow every winter and are great for skiing and snow sports. But what many people don’t know is they’re just as great a place to visit in summer. You can enjoy fishing for salmon or trout, hiking through pristine mountain wilderness or even cave exploring.

If you’d rather something a bit quieter, you can enjoy a local brew at one of the true-blue Aussie pubs. Or you can go for quiet bush walks and watch the local flora and fauna as many rare species found in this region. If you’re lucky, you could spot a mountain pygmy possum or a dusky antechinus!

Mungo National Park – for an Aussie outback experience

The barren landscape of Mungo National Park is starkly beautiful, formed on a chain of dried-up riverbeds and sand dunes. This area is also famous for its insight into the beginning of human life as it’s one of the oldest places outside of Africa to be continuously populated for 50,000 years.

The oldest skeleton in Australia (Mungo Man) was found here, as was the earliest example of ritual cremation (Mungo Woman). You can take a tour with an indigenous guide for a special understanding of the significance of the area in local Aboriginal culture. If you like, you can even stay overnight in an old shearer’s quarters.

Jervis Bay

It takes nearly three hours to drive from Sydney to Jervis Bay and a bit longer by public transport. This idyllic bay is home to a charming, quaint collection of small towns which are great for nature-lovers, surfers, divers and holiday-makers.

Because the area around Jervis Bay isn’t too busy with tourists, you can enjoy the experience of having this treasure of unspoiled Australian nature mostly to yourself.

It’s also a great place for dolphin-watching - or even swimming with the dolphins! It’s also a popular spot for surfing, bushwalking, horse and camel riding – as well as bicycling.

South West Rocks

South West Rocks is a beautiful small town, surrounded by lush greenery, on the Mid North Coast of NSW. It’s not far from one of the world’s best cave dives - Fish Rock Cave. The beach is stunning and the nearby Smoky Cape Lighthouse is a great, local whale-watching spot.

The rainforest just west of the town is home to loads of wallabies and swallow-tailed butterflies. The ruins of Trail Bay Gaol down near the beach is a heritage site and fossicking around here will give you some interesting insights into the convict history of Australia.

The Blue Mountains

Only an hour or so west of Sydney, these beautiful mountains are named after the blue haze which you often see when you’re looking at them from a distance. The Blue Mountains is a UNESCO World Heritage site and if you haven’t explored them thoroughly, they’re definitely worth a longer visit.

At Echo Point in Katoomba, take some time to enjoy the view of the Jamison Valley. The dramatic scenery of the rugged mountains and the deep gorges make it a fascinating example of Australian geology and nature.

From this lookout you can also see the Three Sisters – a sandstone rock formation which is perhaps the best-known Blue Mountains attraction. These three weathered sandstone peaks are an iconic formation towering more than 900 metres high.

Aboriginal legend has it they were three sisters who were turned to stone. They are most photogenic at sunrise and sunset and they’re floodlit until around 11pm each evening.

While you’re at the Blue Mountains, make sure you travel a little further west to Blackheath and take a look at the view of the Grose Valley from Govetts Leap lookout. It’s just as picturesque as the Jamison Valley and even more wild and native.

If you want to find out more information about the area, visit the Blue Mountains Cultural Centre in Katoomba.

Dubbo

If you’d like to visit a city which has all the charm of rural Australian life mixed with our rich colonial history, then Dubbo is the place.

Dubbo is one of our fastest-growing inland cities and more than half a million travellers visit each year. They enjoy the tantalising farm-to-table restaurants and awe-inspiring nature.

With its large open plains, the Dubbo landscape echoes many of the hallmarks of an African savannah, which is why it’s an ideal location for the Taronga Western Plains Zoo. You’ll see zebras, giraffes, lions and more. It’s the closest you’ll come to an African safari in Australia!

Budderoo National Park

Located on the NSW South Coast, this national park boasts beautiful lush scenery and stunning waterfalls. Just over 100km from Sydney, Budderoo is an ideal place to get away from city. The park is great for bushwalking, birdwatching - or even a picnic.

The award-winning Minnamura Rainforest Centre, the Jamberoo Lookout and the Nellies Glen picnic areas are all great spots to check out.

Gundaroo

Gundaroo is the cutest town and one you’ve probably never heard of! It boasts boundless plains, a 200-year-old pub, a pervasive scent of burning wood and even a cider brewery!

The town’s just three hours south of Sydney and literally half an hour out of Canberra. So next time you’re visiting the country’s capital, you could detour via Gundaroo and visit.

Anna Bay

Anna Bay is a pristine, coastal town near Nelson Bay – not far from Newcastle. Anna Bay is on Birubi Beach which is over 27km long making it the longest beach in the southern hemisphere! You can even take your dog on the beach with you most times of the day.

As well as surfing, you can take a leisurely camel ride at sunset. There’s great cafĂ© and restaurant within the Surf Life Saving Club overlooking the beach so you can relax, order lunch and sit back and enjoy yourself.

Newnes

Only a couple of hours outside of Sydney – on the other side of the Blue Mountains in fact - Newnes has some of the best bush walks in NSW. This makes it an ideal place for a spontaneous weekend away. There are some nice places to stay and even a small resort.

Be sure to go for a bush walk. You can go to see the historical ruined beehive coke ovens or take an equally-beautiful walk to the abandoned railway tunnel that’s now full of phosphorescent glow worms. Amazing!

Parkes

If you’re a space nerd or a sucker for all things Australian, then you simply must see ‘The Dish’. Not the film, but the actual radio telescope that the film’s based on. And it’s in Parkes, just half a day’s drive out of Sydney!

Why put such a huge - and historically important - telescope all the way out here? Because the skies are clear of pollution, making them great for stargazing. While you’re out here looking at the stars, you can also enjoy the countryside and take a rest from the city.

Mollymook

Nestled between the beach and countryside on the New South Wales south coast, Mollymook is the quintessential Australian weekend getaway for romantics, foodies and outdoor enthusiasts alike.

The Shoalhaven town welcomes tourists with open arms. Internationally acclaimed chef, Rick Stein, came here and loved it so much he opened a restaurant at the Bannisters By the Sea hotel.

If you’re looking for a memorable dining experience then this is it. The restaurant has a reputation for inspired seafood excellence. It’s located on the headland with ocean views and serves the freshest and highest quality seafood in Stein’s renowned style.

On top of all this fine wine and dining, Mollymook has not one, but two gorgeous beaches so you’ll find you have loads to do just hanging around the local area. Or you could play a spot of golf at one of the two golf courses available.

Hill End

This historical town is amazing to visit and wander along the streets. You can check out the handful of historical pubs, bakeries and cafes dotted around.

Hill End’s claim to fame is it was here that the largest single mass of gold ever discovered was found. Called the Holtermann Nugget, it weighed in at 285kg. There’s still a gold mine in Hill End to visit and it’s a whole lot of fun so take a look at.

Mudgee

With loads of Australian heritage history, picturesque natural beauty and one of the best food and wine scenes in the country, Mudgee practically has it all. You can stay in town and feel surrounded by the region’s charming yesteryear vibe, or visit one of the romantic B&Bs in the rolling hillsides for a more country feel.

Mudgee is located 268km northwest of Sydney, only about three and a half hours drive along the scenic Great Western Highway. The Mudgee wineries are definitely worth a visit. You can take a tour of these and really, there’s no better way to enjoy what Mudgee has to offer.

Close call for Ash Barty

Ash Barty has managed to pull through to the third round at Wimbledon, overcoming nine double-faults and a bad line call on match point to win 6-4, 6-3 against Anna Blinkova.

Barty’s forehand was called out on her second match point, only for a replay to show it had clipped the line instead. With the point replayed, Barty was able to clinch her win when Blinkova hit a shot long.

But the tennis legend struggled for the win, having to overcome an uncharacteristically unreliable serve. Though she committed nine double-faults, including three in the first game, and was broken three times, she was able to hit 33 winners compared to Blinkova’s 12.

“There were a few things that didn’t feel quite right today,” Barty said in her post-match press conference.

“But I felt when my back was against the wall I was able to bring the good stuff, it just wasn’t quite there all the time,” she explained.

“It was not my best serving day. But that happens. I was just out of rhythm a little bit. A few technical things weren’t quite feeling spot on. You have those days where you feel like you’re eight-foot tall and can’t miss the box and other days like today you feel like you’re three-foot-nothing and just getting over the net is a battle.

“It’s certainly nothing that will concern me. We will just go back to our routines like we usually would and try and find a way in the next match.”

Tennis star Todd Woodbridge had plenty to say about Barty’s performance, calling it “sloppy” and suggesting she was “nervous”. He said her form was “all over the place” and that she had “work to do” ahead of her next match against Kateƙina Siniaková.

“I’m a bit perplexed of the inconsistency here from Barty,” Woodbridge said in commentary on Nine.

“Her timing is not there. She looks rushed.”

If Barty can secure two more wins, she will become a Wimbledon quarter finalist for the first time in her career.

Image: Ash Barty / Instagram

“Extremely heartless”: Daughter’s desperate effort to see dying dad

Anna Coffey, who hopes to see her father in palliative care in Victoria, is required to prove he is sick enough to allow her to be exempt to travel.

After receiving a call last week saying her father had suffered a serious stroke, the fully-vaccinated Melbournian was on the first plane to Sydney that cost her upwards of $10,000.

Now quarantining in a Sydney hotel during the state’s current lockdown, she must provide documents proving her father is “at end of life” to New South Wales Health in order to be allowed to see him.

If she is granted an exemption, she has been told by Victorian and NSW Health authorities that she can only travel to Melbourne via a chartered flight which she says will cost her between $8000 and $10,000.

“In the past week [my father’s] heart has stopped and they have no idea why, he’s had a stroke
he’s obviously high risk for another incident happening,” Ms Coffey told The Age.

“Being in the palliative care unit, they don’t resuscitate or they don’t do anything. It could be in an hour, it could be tomorrow, it could be next week, I just can’t stay.”

Ms Coffey fears her father’s condition could change at any moment.

“He’s doing OK but it’s very much a day-by-day type situation,” she told Today.

“I really just have to get there as fast as I possibly can.

“There’s a lot to do, so many documents to collect, so much red tape, it’s a full-time job right now.”

Ms Coffey says she wants authorities to allow her to drive to Melbourne, but they have ruled this out as the trip would take between nine and 10 hours.

Prime Minister Scott Morrison is said to have written to Ms Coffey saying he is deeply sorry and that he hopes a solution can be found so she can see her father.

But, Ms Coffey anticipates she may not get to Melbourne until the weekend, where she will then need to finish 14 days of quarantine and only see her father under supervision and while wearing personal protective equipment.

“The fact that it’s taking days and days and days and there’s no end in sight is fairly shocking to me, especially when I feel like I’ve already provided enough information to be able to be transferred,” she said.

Ms Coffey also said she wants authorities to review the process for overseas arrivals entering the country for compassionate reasons.

“[I want] some sort of other alternative to forcing people to have to pay $8000 to $10,000 to be transferred, especially when they’re vaccinated. [It] just seems extremely heartless.”

Image: Today

Game over: Kyrgios and Kalinskaya’s messy romance

Nick Kyrgios’ relationship with Russian tennis star Anna Kalinskaya has reportedly ended on bad terms.

Although the details surrounding their relationship is unknown, the two were spotted together at an Acapulco street stall in March, with Kyrgios kissing Kalinskaya on the forehead.

Shortly after, the couple attended an NBA game in Los Angeles together.

The Aussie was also seen cheering on the 21-year-old at the Citi Open in Washington last August.

However, a series of cryptic Instagram posts from Kalinskaya suggests the couple’s recent break-up was not pleasant.

The world No. 95 shared a black and white photo on her Instagram with the caption, “You’re not a bad boy, you are simply a bad person,” with most followers assuming the message was directed at Kyrgios.

Hours later, she posted another snap with the caption, “F*** energy vampire,” but the picture was deleted soon after.

Kalinskaya confirmed the break-up on Monday during an Instagram Q&A, adding the two are no longer on speaking terms.

“We broke up. We aren’t friends. I understand you are his friends and it’s cool but I’m not going to talk about him. Have some respect for me as well please,” Kalinskaya posted.

Although they never confirmed they were dating, rumours of their on-and-off romance have been circulating for months.

In December, Kalinskaya called Kygrios “Satan” after he commented on one of her social media posts.

The 24-year-old Kyrgios previously dated Croatian-Australian tennis player Anya Tomljanovic, but they split in 2017.

Prince Charles' real "soulmate" revealed

A royal biographer claims Prince Charles has a real “soulmate” that he had fallen for, before Princess Camilla, or even Princess Di.

Penny Juror said Prince Charles was romantically linked to a younger woman after he was involved with Duchess Camilla in the early seventies and before he married the late Princess Di on July 29, 1981.

The woman was Davina Sheffield, and according to Juror was a woman who “seemed ideal in many ways.”

Prince Charles was the most eligible bachelor in the world throughout the 70’s and 80’s.

Juror wrote in her 2005 book The Firm, that Prince Charles ruined the relationship he began with beautiful and alluring Davina by rekindling with his old flame, Camilla.

View this post on Instagram

Mrs Jake Morley [nee Davina Mary Sheffield] born 1 March 1950; former girlfriend of the Prince of Wales; sister-in-law of Miranda, Duchess of Beaufort. #DavinaMorley #DavinaSheffield #fawbs

A post shared by Fawbert (@ernest_fawbert) on Apr 16, 2019 at 9:49am PDT

"In 1976, the prince fell for another girl, Davina Sheffield, who could have been the soulmate he was searching for," she wrote.

"She seemed ideal in so many ways, and they appeared to be very much in love.

"But she already had a boyfriend when Charles met her, an Old Harrovian and powerboat racer named James Beard.

"Davina initially rebuffed invitations to have dinner with the Prince, but he was so persistent that she eventually succumbed and the boyfriend soon fell by the wayside.

"He was subsequently conned into talking about his relationship with Davina by what turned out to be a Sunday tabloid reporter and the story of their affair, complete with photographs of their 'love nest', made headline news.

"It killed the relationship stone dead."

The couple were introduced by Charle’s sister Princess Anne. Tennis writer sparks huge Anna Kournikova debate – do you agree?

New York Times tennis reporter Ben Rothenberg has caused a bit of a stir after he made a shortlist of his most influential women in tennis history.

It all started with a simple tweet from the International Federation of Tennis, who were celebrating Chinese New Year.

The tweet was about Li Na, who was the first Chinese Grand Slam Champion. Na also went on to win the French Open in 2011 and the Australian Open in 2014 before retiring the same year.

Crushing stereotypes and inspiring millions, Li Na’s extraordinary journey to becoming China’s first-ever Grand Slam champion is a story like no other 🇹🇳#ChineseNewYear pic.twitter.com/8DGHCSXSlX
— ITF (@ITF_Tennis) 5 February 2019

This tweet was quick to make its way through the tennis media, with Women’s Tennis Association Insider podcast host Courtney Nguyen saying that Na was a lock for the top 10 most important women in tennis history.

“Be the bird that sticks out.”

Easily shortlisted for Top 10 most important women in tennis history. https://t.co/X7CoYJhJiM
— Courtney Nguyen (@FortyDeuceTwits) 5 February 2019

Rothberg decided to join in and named his top 10, which included Serena Williams, Steffi Graf and early 20th century champion Suzanne Lenglen.

However, one name caught everyone’s attention. Anna Kournikova, who came in before Serena Williams on his list at number 8 and 9 respectively. The list is in chronological order, and not the order that Rothberg favours the players.

Oooh ooh I'll play this game ok:

Lenglen
Gibson
BJK
Evert
Navratilova
Graf
Seles
Kournikova
Serena
Li
— Ben Rothenberg (@BenRothenberg) 5 February 2019

Safe to say, tennis fans weren’t happy with Rothberg’s inclusion of Kournikova.

...Kournikova? pic.twitter.com/luZwseJJJs
— Eve Honeywell (@captcitrus) 5 February 2019

However, Rothenberg explained that she “paved the road for a massive post-Soviet wave that followed, completely redefined what success and value could mean in women’s tennis and changed how the sport was seen”.

Kournikova was one of the world’s most known tennis players, although she never won a singles title. She had much more success in doubles, reaching world number one and winning the Australian Open doubles title with Martina Hingis in 1999.

Rothenberg also pointed out that there’s a difference between importance and performance.

Ok upon further review, Graf is out, Venus is in.

Everyone is getting mad about Kournikova, but “most important” is a *very* different metric from “winningest” or “most impressive.”
— Ben Rothenberg (@BenRothenberg) 5 February 2019

Ken Merritt, who coached Kournikova, explained the influence that she had on the world in a 2015 interview with CNN.

"Construction workers were watching tennis, business people were watching tennis. Dad of 5! Hugh Grant welcomes fifth baby

Hugh Grant has welcomed his fifth child into the world with girlfriend Anna Eberstein.

The news was accidentally announced by his ex Elizabeth Hurley while promoting her show, The Royals.

"I'm very lucky that 31 years into our friendship, he's still my best friend in the world. He's a really great guy," the actress said on E!'s Daily Pop on March 6.

"I see him a lot; I speak to him a lot. You know, he's now a father of five; he has five kids and he's a great dad. Yeah, he will remain my best friend for life."

The name and gender of the baby were not revealed.

Elizabeth also gave further details about Hugh’s new child on Andy Cohen’s Watch What Happens Live! two days later.

"He had another one last week. He has five," the actress revealed.

"He was over 50 when he spawned them all! He's an enchanting dad – really, really sweet. Having these kids has transformed him from a very miserable person into a fairly miserable person. It's improved him. He's gone up the scale."

In January, Anna’s mother, Susanne, confirmed that her daughter was expecting another child with Hugh.

"I'm very happy to be getting another grandchild. She's due rather soon," Susanne told Aftonbladet.

Anna, a Swedish television producer, showed off her baby bump while walking the red carpet at the 2018 Golden Globes alongside Hugh in January.

This child is the 57-year-old actor’s fifth child and his third with his current partner Anna.

Anna and Hugh had their son John Mungo Grant in September 2012 and a daughter, whose name has not been publicly announced, in December 2016. Hugh also has a six-year-old daughter, Tabitha Grant, and five-year-old son, Felix Chang Hong Grant, with ex Tinglan Hong.

In 2012, Hugh revealed what it was like for him to become a father for the first time.

"I did feel a little lumpy when I first met my daughter, yeah. Lots of people warned me about [not falling for my own baby]. They said never let anyone know, but the baby period is not that exciting. But I am excited, actually. I thought, well, I'll bluff through it — but very little bluffing has been required. I like my daughter very much. Fantastic," he confessed.

"There probably is some truth that one of our main functions on the planet is to reproduce because it feels more of an achievement than it should do. Which is nonsense, really. But yesterday, I took my daughter to see my father, who's in hospital, and all the nurses were cooing over her. And I felt, well, pride," the Love Actually star said.

"Has she changed my life? I'm not sure. Not yet. Not massively, no. But I'm absolutely thrilled to have had her. I really am and I feel a better person
Well, I think I do feel a little less me, me, me. But then, I've had other family to look after. I have an elderly father who's not very well at the moment, so it's never been entirely me, me, me.”

Congratulations to Hugh and Anna!

Rowena Wallace reveals the biggest secret from her time on Sons and Daughters

Actress Rowena Wallace has revealed the biggest secret from her time starring in Sons and Daughters in the 1980s.

Wallace said when she was 35 she had a passionate night with co-star Peter Phelps, who was 13 years her junior and played her son on the show.

“We had both had the odd drink or four," the now 70-year-old actress told the Daily Telegraph.

“And it just happened. I knew I was very fond of Pete in a working relationship and that he enjoyed working with me, but I never imagined that we felt like that towards each other. We made jokes of course on set like, ‘Gee Pete you look good today’ but all just in jest. I blame the booze for what occurred between us.”

Sons and Daughters aired from 1981 to 1987 and Wallace took home a Gold Logie and four silver gongs for her performance of Pat the Rat on the show.

Phelps played her on-screen son John Palmer and Ally Fowler played her daughter Angela Hamilton.

Peter Phelps and Rowena Wallace.

The passionate night occurred after the cast had a weekly drinking session.

“Pete and I, for some strange reason, ended up breaking away from the rest of the crew and ended up on our own,” she said.

“We wound up in fact all the way over on the northern beaches in Sydney, where Peter lived on his own in an apartment near the surf. We were down on the beach after having a few drinks when Pete suggested we go for a late-night swim. I stripped down to my knickers.

“Pete was incredibly tanned and handsome with a body to match. When we got out of the surf he said to me, ‘You probably had too much to drink to make your way all the way back to yours, so come and bunk down at mine’, so I did.

“We arrived at his empty apartment, had a coffee and chatted for a while, then, before I knew it, we were in the bedroom and as we climbed into bed, the rest is history.”

Wallace said the pair did not feel awkward the next morning.

“We both laughed about it in fact, as I joked to him saying you know I am your mother — on screen that is. We both realised it was just something nice that had happened but it wasn’t going to continue and we both accepted that. I don’t regard it at all as a mistake.”

Did you used to watch Sons and Daughters? Who was your favourite character? Let us know in the comments below.
