Teenager buys Aussie mansion for $4.95 million
<p><span>An 18-year-old student is now the proud new owner of a French-inspired mansion in Dural, NSW.</span><br /><br /><span>CoreLogic and NSW Land Registry Services records have revealed that Shuxin Zhou — the daughter of Chinese businessman Jianming Zhou, paid $4.95m for the seven-bedroom, two hectare home.</span><br /><br /><span>She paid $3,274,500 above the Dural median house price.</span><br /><br /><span>Interestingly enough, the expansive property is not the teenager’s first foray into expensive homes, nor is it her biggest.</span><br /><br /><span>The Dural purchase is more of a downsize move for Zhou, who lives with her mother.</span><br /><br /><span>Ms Zhou sold a landmark $11.5m mansion in Warrawee on the upper north shore in December of 2020.</span><br /><br /><span>The seven-bedroom home was built almost 30 years ago for Mazda car dealer John Newell and has a 1100-bottle wine cellar, a tennis court and a luxurious pool.</span><br /><br /><span>Among many other incredible features, the Dural home has a cobbled driveway, a cool room, a spacious butlers pantry, sauna and numerous formal and informal living areas.</span><br /><br /><span>There is also a commercial style laundry, sauna, home office, a detached workshop and a gym.</span></p>
