Demi Moore shares rare update on Bruce Willis' health

Demi Moore has shared a rare update on ex-husband Bruce Willis, as the actor battles frontotemporal dementia.

The actress shared the update in an interview with Drew Barrymore on The Drew Barrymore Show, where she opened up about his health.

She said she spends as much time as she can with Willis - who she was married to for 11 years and is the father of her three daughters - and his wife Emma Heming, with the blended family celebrating holidays and birthdays together.

During the interview, Moore and Barrymore reminisced about their time working together on the 2003 film Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle, where Willis made a special cameo.

“When we did Charlie’s Angels, Bruce came and played on it, and he opens up the film,” Barrymore recalled, “And we got to work with him.”

Barrymore went on to ask about his current health, noting she had known him for years, all the way back to his days as a barman.

“I mean, I used to know him when he was a bartender at Cafe Central,” Barrymore said. “I’ve known him my whole life, too. How is he right now?”

The actress provided a reassuring update: “Given the givens, he’s in a stable place.”

Moore and Willis were married from 1987 to 2000 and share three daughters: Rumer, 36, Scout, 33, and Tallulah, 30.

Moore also revealed details of how she supports their daughters as they cope with their father's health struggles.

“What I say to my kids is you meet them where they’re at. You don’t hold on to who they were or what you want them to be, but who they are in this moment,” she explained.

“And from that, there is such beauty and joy and loving and sweetness.

“When I’m in LA, I go over every week, and I really treasure the time that we all share.”

The Die Hard star was diagnosed with aphasia in March 2022 and almost a year later, his family shared that his condition had progressed to frontotemporal dementia.

Image: Instagram

David Campbell and Jimmy Barnes open up on "complicated" relationship

Jimmy Barnes and David Campbell have opened up on their unconventional father-son bond in the latest episode of The Apple & The Tree podcast.

The podcast hosted by Richard and Christian Wilkins aims to get under the hood of famous Aussie families, discussing the good, the bad and everything else.

In the podcast, Jimmy revealed that he was just a teen when David was left in the care of his maternal grandmother, and he didn't know that his dad was the most famous rock star in the country until he was 10 years old.

When asked how David felt when he realised who his dad was, he replied: "He was 30 ... and a 10-year-old just lands in his lap ... it's a really complicated situation."

"I had lot of anxiety ... a lot of 'I don't belong here' but also 'I want to belong here'."

Jimmy agreed, and said, "He tried to escape from it."

The singer recalled what a tricky time it was for his son.

"David got a bit sick when he started to realise who I was, it was overwhelming, he got migraines and stuff.

"I was like, 'I'm sorry I'm your father ... have you seen Star Wars?'" he joked.

Despite the rough start, Jimmy's wife Jane had hope that the new family dynamic was a positive change, and she was right.

"We can both safely say that there was one factor that made this work quickly, it was Jane," Jimmy shared.

"Even now, David is probably closer to Jane than he is to me," he continued.

David also grew a close bond with his half-sister Mahalia Barnes, who was really young when they first met.

They now have the strongest bond, both on and off stage.

Speaking about his relationship with Mahalia, David said: "The joy of singing with Mahalia on stage, it reminds me of the time I just got there, and she was my first sister ... I trust her with secrets in my life, implicitly."

Over time the family dynamic has developed into something that Jimmy said he cherishes dearly.

"I can't regret anything I've done, because everything I've done has brought me to this space, with this family," he said.

"I don't take any of this for granted, but I used to medicate, I now just meditate."

Now that David is a parent himself he added that there are some perks for his kids for having a world-famous rocker as their 'Pa'.

"When Grandparent Day happens, all of a sudden every parent turns up really dressed well ... asking for selfies," he said.

Image: X/ Nine

Socceroos star's cause of death revealed

Former Socceroos star Stephen Laybutt is believed to have taken his own life over the weekend.

The 46-year-old had been visiting friends in Casuarina, in northern New South Wales, on Friday before he was reported missing the following day.

The massive search for the former football player came to a tragic end on Sunday, after his body was found in NSW bushland near Cabarita, where he was last seen.

NSW Police have reportedly ruled out both misadventure and a medical episode, and revealed that his death was not being treated as suspicious.

A report will also be prepared for the coroner.

The talented footballer played 15 matches for the Socceroos between 2000 and 2004, while also representing Australia while playing for the Olyroos at the Sydney 2000 Olympics.

Laybutt struggled with keeping his sexuality private throughout his career, and came out as gay after he retired.

“Nobody knew. It takes a fair bit of effort to hide like that,” he told the Sydney Morning Herald in 2021.

“Just lying to yourself all the time. That breaks you, and you head down a path of self-destruction.”

At the time, he recalled how he had "spiralled out of control" because he thought that things would get easier after coming out.

But things improved when he met his partner, Michael Lutteral, in 2010.

In the days after his passing, Laybutt's friends have paid tribute to the Socceroos legend.

"I can't stop thinking about the pain he must have been in," one friend wrote on social media.

"I don't think you realised how many lives you touched and how many people loved you," another wrote.

"I'll never forget you mate, love ya."

Image: Getty

Search for missing Socceroo ends in tragedy

Police officers have found the body of Stephen Laybutt in New South Wales bushland, less than 48 hours after he went missing.

The ex-Socceroo was reported missing on Saturday morning after he couldn't be located or contacted by his loved ones, sparking a massive search for the 46-year-old.

Laybutt's car was found near a set of shops in Cabartia, on the NSW North Coast, at 11:30am on Saturday, only a few kilometres away from where he was last seen at a friend's house at Casuarina on Friday night.

Officers then located Stephen Laybutt’s body close to Cabarita at about 7pm on Sunday after an extensive police search.

Tributes have begun to pour in for the ex-Socceroo, with football legend Robbie Slater describing his death as a tragedy.

“He was a very good player, I played against him a few times when he was with the Brisbane Strikers,” Mr Slater told The Daily Telegraph.

“He was a big guy, uncompromising, he had a very good career... He was an extremely courageous person."

A talented footballer, Mr Laybutt played 15 matches for the Socceroos between 2000 and 2004 and remained with the A-League’s Newcastle Jets until he ruptured his achilles tendon in 2008 and was forced to retire.

He also represented Australia at the 2000 Olympics with the Olyroos team.

After retiring, Laybutt came out as gay, later revealing that hiding his sexuality was something that had a “massive effect” on his career.

Mr Laybutt also made headlines in 2021 when he selflessly donated his kidney to a man on dialysis he had met while working at the rehabilitation unit at St Vincent’s Hospital in Sydney.

"Losing his speech": Home Alone star's major health update

Home Alone star Ken Hudson Campbell's daughter has shared a health update for fans after the actor underwent surgery to remove a tumour in his mouth.

Speaking to People Magazine, Michaela revealed that her father is "doing well" after his 10-hour surgery last week, but there are still a few challenges their family will have to face, as Campbell will need to have radiation treatment five times a week.

"I think the hardest part of this is going to be him losing his speech and his ability to talk. So speech therapy is going to play a big role in it," she told the publication.

"We're kind of playing it one step at a time, depending on how debilitated he is.

"If he needs extra help, we might put him into a nursing home for a little while, but if not, we're going to take him back home and we still will be hiring post-op care help with that."

This comes after Michaela and her family managed to raise $102,000 USD ($AU 152,000) for their father's treatment through crowd-funding, after the actor lost his SAG-AFTRA health insurance in January last year.

Campbell, who played Santa Claus in Home Alone, "burst into tears" when he saw the messages and well wishes on the crowd-funding page.

He was diagnosed with Squamous cell carcinoma - or oral cancer, on October 27.

His family are hoping for a full recovery for the actor who they described as "a loving father of two children with an admirable lust for life, and a passion for acting, writing, & sports."

Images: Instagram

The incident occurred right after he had delivered a talk about artificial intelligence (AI) at the CogX Festival.

Reports indicate that Fry plummeted an alarming six feet to the ground, resulting in injuries to his leg and ribs. A spokesperson for the conference issued a statement expressing their concern and support for Fry, explaining that the unfortunate accident transpired after his inspiring discourse on the influence of AI. They emphasised their collective thoughts and well-wishes for his speedy recovery. They also mentioned that they had initiated their own investigation but were unable to disclose further details at the moment.

Prior to his fall, Fry had engaged the audience with thought-provoking ideas, saying, "We have to choose whether we want to be Prometheus or Zeus." He humorously added, "The one thing we can agree on is that it's a f--king weird time to be alive."

Thanks to everyone who joined us at CogX Festival’s 7th AI & Transformational tech event at London’s iconic O2 arena.

Watch our quick Day 3 recap and visit our website to be the first to hear about our plans to make it even bigger and better next year!https://t.co/K1fBIE0R0G pic.twitter.com/IqRwpRwwiZ

— CogX Festival (@CogX_Festival) September 20, 2023

In another intriguing revelation, Fry discussed an incident where a historical documentary utilised an AI-generated replication of his voice without his consent. He clarified to his fans that he had not uttered a single word in the narration; instead, a machine had performed the task.

He expressed astonishment at the technology's capabilities, noting that it could potentially manipulate his voice to convey any message, from a call to storm Parliament to explicit content, all unbeknownst to him and without his authorisation. "And this, what you just heard," he said, "was done without my knowledge."

Image: Getty

5 of the best things to do in Port Stephens

From magnificent coastline to whale watching and sunsets that will take your breath away, these are five of the best things to do in Port Stephens. Be warned: After reading this you’ll want to hop in the car immediately.

1. Camp in luxury safari tent (pictured above)

If you’re looking for that up-close-and-personal-with-nature feel that goes hand in hand with camping, but don’t want to go with out the luxuries of a resort, the safari tents at Thou Walla Sunset Retreat are for you. Labelled as “Glamping Safari Tents,” the experience is just that – camping with all of the glamourous trimmings. From the king-size bed to the large flat-screen TV, you can expect all the features that you get from a luxury hotel room, including an electric fireplace, fridge and a big bathroom with a shower and toilet – they are, however, eco friendly with a few different bells and whistles. The tents themselves are located a stone’s throw from the marina and the calm waters of Soliders Point, which runs alongside one length of the site. Located around 15 minutes from Nelson Bay, the award-winning retreat is home to villas as well as the safari tents. If you are adverse to noises in the night, you may want to pack you earplugs to drown out the noisy birds – but apparently they don’t make a ruckus all year round and in any case, the piece des resistance that is the amazing sunset, enjoyed from your tent’s deck with a tipple in hand, by far makes up for the noise. It is absolute bliss.

2. Hike up to Tomaree Head

Tomaree Head sits 161 metres above Port Stephens and offers the most incredible views of the region. The track to the summit is just over two kilometres and will take around an hour, but you’ll be rewarded with sweeping views over Zenith, Wreck and Box beaches, the lighthouse and WWII gun placements, Cabbage Tree and Boondelbah islands, and potentially even whales or dolphins. There’s a picnic table at the top, so bring your lunch for a meal with a view.

3. Go whale watching

Every year, thousands of humpback and southern right whales make their way past Port Stephens during their annual migration. At this time of year, the southern migration has begun and you’ll see many mothers with newborn calves returning from the breeding grounds. There are plenty of spots to watch the whales from shore, but for the real experience you need to be out on the water. Imagine Cruises runs whale-watching tours every day from May to November. You’ll be sailing on a 16-metre catamaran as the whales swim right alongside or breach from the water in a stunning display of aquatic acrobatics.

4. Spend the day at the beach

Port Stephens is surrounded by more than 20 golden sandy beaches so enjoy a classic stop on the shore. There’s a beach for just about every kind of water activity you could ask for, from swimming and surfing to snorkelling, parasailing, fishing and jetskiing. Divers can explore the sea caves and shipwrecks of Fly Point Marine Park. Or you can just spread out your towel, pick up a good book and soak up some sun.

5. Have dinner by the water

The Port Stephens region is famous for its food and wine, and one of the best spots to taste it is the Little Beach Boathouse. The restaurant sits right on the water at Nelson Bay – but set away from the main shops on the marina. Styled like a cool, breezy beach house, the menu features fresh local produce like rock oysters, fish and prawns, accompanied by wines from the nearby Hunter Valley and Murray Brewery Beers brewed in Port Stephens. Arrive early for dinner to watch the sunset with a glass of bubbles.

Related links

10 of the most incredible landmarks in Australia

10 images showcase the beauty of Tasmania’s wilderness

12 aerial photos showcasing South Australia’s beauty

David Campbell opens up about his “big life moment” with Tina Turner

Today Extra host David Campbell has opened up about a special bond between himself, rocker Jimmy Barnes, and Tina Turner’s Private Dancer album.

He made the reveal as he was discussing the legendary singer’s passing, noting that his father - Jimmy Barnes - loved seeing Tina performing at the NRL, while viewing footage of the day with his fellow hosts. She had been singing the hit song ‘Simply the Best’, a track that Barnes had dueted with her.

“Doing that moment with Tina for the NRL, the follow-up to that one, was just one of his great life moments,” Campbell explained. He went on to share that his father had paid tribute to her earlier in the day - shortly after news had broken that Turner had passed away at home in Switzerland at 83 - and that he didn’t want to speak too much on that.

“I’m so sad to hear that Tina Turner has left us,” Barnes had written on social media, sharing a picture of himself recording with the late Turner, and several others. “It was such an honour to work with someone so talented, strong and giving. It was certainly a highlight of my career to have sung and shared the stage with such a wonderful human being.”

From there, Campbell went on to share that his father often told a story on his Working Class Man tour, in which Barnes was just 16 years old and trying to make his way with little money to his name in Adelaide - until Tina and Ike came to town.

“He and some friends broke into the show,” Campbell said, “and got down front to watch her. And he said it was the most magic moment.

“He was obsessed with her.”

Campbell’s story wasn’t done there, however, with the TV personality then recalling how he’d come to Sydney at the age of 10 to meet his father.

“The first thing he played me was Private Dancer,” he revealed. “He really adored her. It was a big life moment for him.”

Next up came a conversation about the impact ‘Simply the Best’ had had on sport, particularly the NRL, and how he couldn’t imagine a song “more closely aligned to a song”.

But for many Australians, of course, the true cultural impact of Turner’s work stems from the ‘Nutbush’, and its captivating power at events in venues all across the country.

Images: Today Extra / Nine

“He just makes you proud”: AFL star's stunning Anzac Day speech

Darcy Moore, captain of Collingwood Football Club, has been praised across the board for the words he delivered in the wake of his team’s Anzac Day win against Essendon.

The Magpies had a lot to celebrate after their comeback win in front of a record-breaking 95,179 person crowd, but it was Moore’s post-game speech that is fixed in the mind of supporters, and anyone else who had had the honour of hearing what he had to say.

Moore was accepting the Anzac Day trophy before he gave his speech, and opened with a round of thanks for the thousands of fans - Collingwood and Essendon alike - who had made the trip to be with them on such a momentous day.

“First of all, I want to give a massive thank you to the 95,000 fans who are here, [a] record-breaking crowd,” he said. “No matter whether you wear the black and white stripes or the red sash, this game is about so much more than four points. So you turning up today and showing your support means a lot and we’re incredibly proud to play our part in this game.

“To Essendon, both Andrew [McGrath] and the team - as well as the broader club - thank you so much for making this event what it is.

“It means a lot to us that we can come together with your football club and commemorate the sacrifice of not just the Anzacs, but all servicemen and women who served Australia all around the world. So thank you to the Essendon Football Club.

“I want to thank and mention all men and women who are serving our country’s interests, both at home and abroad, in war and in peacekeeping operations. It means a lot to me and the team and the whole club that we can commemorate your service and your sacrifice today by doing what we do. So thank you for your service.

“To the veterans - there are over 600,000 veterans in this country who have returned from service - we also extend our thanks to you for your sacrifice and we hope that again, doing what we do today, somehow honours your legacy and what you’ve done for our country. Thank you to those 600,000 veterans as well.

“And then finally, to the families of those serving and those veterans. Too often, your stories go untold and on behalf of the Collingwood footy club, we just want to acknowledge the pain of war that runs through so many families across this country.

“It’s a real honour for us to run out here and play our game in honour of you and your service. So to the families of those who have served, thank you so much for your service.”

The Fox Footy panellists covering the game were some of the first to declare their appreciation for Moore’s sentiments, and were in agreement that the Collingwood captain had displayed some exemplary character - on and off the pitch.

“In addition to being one of the best defenders in the game, he is a very thoughtful and eloquent young man. That speech was, frankly, incredible the way he spoke and thought about so many people. It was something we’ll remember for a long time,” Sarah Jones, Fox Footy host, said.

“One of the best speeches I’ve ever heard on this day,” declared triple Coleman medallist Jason Dunstall.

“He made it all about the occasion and the sacrifice that has been made for us, well before us,” he went on to tell Fox Footy. “I thought that was brilliant.

“The words that he chose summed it up perfectly.”

And in the words of former AFL player David King, “he just makes you proud of our code when you hear a young man speak like that. Full credit, Darcy Moore.”

Images: Getty

David Campbell’s picture perfect blast from the past

When Trevor Long stopped by the Today show, David Campbell promised it to be “the best thing that’s ever happened on this show.”

And while David himself may have had a few things to say afterwards - with his past mullet being exposed to the world - Trevor certainly had a lot to offer viewers, outlining a whole host of options for turning their old photographs into digital keepsakes.

“If you’re like me,” David began, “and I still have a lot of my old photos … I don’t trust clouds, I miss photos … and they’re all stored in our phones and it freaks me out.”

“Photos like this one, David?” Trevor asked, an old photo of David and his school friends - John and Glen - on display in his hands.

“That freaks everyone else out,” was David’s immediate response.

The image saw the three at what appeared to be a formal event, two of them even sporting waistcoats, but it was David’s remarkable haircut that caught their attention, and their amusement.

“That is a mullet, ladies and gentlemen,” Trevor declared, to Today co-host Sylvia Jeffreys’ laughter.

From there, Sylvia went on to explain that their goal was to “keep photos like that alive because we should never forget that mullet.”

And that’s where Trevor came in, noting that he had many photo albums at home, and that “you kind of think that you’re going to lose those memories.”

The solution, he believes, is in taking them to the digital sphere, where they can be kept ‘forever’.

First on his list of digitising options was an application called Google Photo Scan. He went on to demonstrate how all users need to do is “point the phone at the photo”, wait for the flash which they may find “a bit weird”, and for dots to appear “on each corner”.

Using David’s mullet throwback as his example, he waited for the picture to scan, and then revealed the results: a near-perfect replica on his phone that was “now Facebook shareable” and “also just something you can keep in your digital library”.

Next up was the most efficient - and most expensive at over $600 - of Trevor’s solutions, with Epson’s Fastfoto scanner. The photos were inserted in bulk into the machine, and deposited at the other end in rapid succession after enhancing and saving the images to his computer - quite unlike a scanner, though similar in process, where each photo must be manually attended to throughout the entire job. According to Trevor, the Epson device had the potential to do “a hundred a minute”.

Last but not least came the answer for those with an awful lot of old film negatives lying around. The Kodak Slide ‘n’ Scan, he demonstrated, required users to slide film through the device, with each image appearing on a small screen at the front. After pressing the button on top just once, the picture would be saved onto a memory card, ready to be moved wherever its owner desired.

“It’s a little bit of a manual process,” Trevor allowed, “but as you push it through [and] press the button, it saves it on a memory card, kind of like the memory card you have on your digital camera. Put it into your computer, and again, you choose what you do with your photos.”

And for those worried about the cost of some of the products he’d showcased? Trevor’s answer was simple: sell them.

From there there was only one concern left to address, as David was showing his mullet pic to the camera, with Trevor asking “can you grow that back?”

David, laughing, shot back, “I wish I could!”

Images: Nine

“The guy's a flop”: Kyle’s feud with David Campbell erupts

Kyle Sandilands’ feud with Today Extra’s David Campbell has been well documented over the years, though it’s doubtful that many had ‘a blow up over a fake marriage scandal’ on their 2023 bingo list.

David Campbell has recently come under fire for comments he made during an interview with Married at First Sight’s Jesse Bumford. David probed Jesse about his role in the cheating scandal between his ‘wife’ and another of the show’s grooms, and went so far as to suggest Jesse was partially responsible for the infidelity.

Kyle, like many viewers across Australia, believed David’s take left a lot to be desired. But Kyle, who has not been shy about his feelings for David in the past, wasn’t content to leave it at that.

While chatting to KIIS FM co-host Jackie O on their show, Kyle declared David to be a “flop” who “never has anyone’s back”. He confessed to his surprise at David’s approach to the interview, having decided that MAFS groom Jesse seemed like a “nice bloke” with the public behind him. Kyle then suggested that David had immediately sided with Jesse’s ‘wife’, Claire, to appeal to the “woke” crowd.

Jackie O seemed to share Kyle’s sentiments, agreeing that David had behaved like a “smug d**”.

“That's what David Campbell is like,” Kyle vented. “David Campbell reads a headline somewhere, believes it to be 100 per cent true, does no research, and forms a very stupid and immature opinion because that's what that type of person does.

“Then [he] runs around trying to protect everyone with no real details. The guy's a flop. I've never liked him.”

He then admitted that while he likes David’s Today Extra co-host Sylvia Jeffreys, he can’t stomach watching the show because David makes him “physically sick to look at.”

“This is his way of pumping himself up so he's a woke hero,” he surmised, “and no one likes that.”

Brookyln Ross, newsreader for KIIS FM, suggested that David - who should be aware of MAFS' heavy editing and early filming dates - had no excuse for his actions. Jackie O followed up on the thought, wondering if David had even bothered watching past the first few episodes of the show.

“I feel like he has seen the first episodes but has not watched the recent ones,” she mused. “He thought he was doing what the public wanted by attacking Jesse, and not realising, ‘dude, this isn't the way to go’.”

“He's out of date,” Kyle stated. “This is what David Campbell does. This guy doesn't actually have his own opinion. He always does what he thinks people would like, but he really has zero personality.”

Images: Getty

Retiree shocked to find super account drained of funds

A retired couple have received the shock of their life after finding out their super was drained to next to nothing after years of hard work.

Stephen Lockwood worked his entire life but was forced to retire after having open-heart surgery, a plate placed in his neck for sciatic nerve, and two hip replacements.

At 65 years old, Stephen believed that he had enough in his super account for him and his wife Denise.

But when Denise went to take a look at the account, she was horrified to find only $48,863.80 of the expected $200,000 that was meant to be in there.

It is understood that in 2010, Stephen took advice from MBA Financial Strategists to merge all his super accounts into one.

Based on life insurance cover, all three accounts were merged into AXA's Summit Personal Super Plan before merging into AMP the following year.

Five years later, Stephen had a record of $79,613.71 in his super but things took a turn despite the couple contributing $800 each month.

This was caused by multiple fees each month, particularly for his life insurance and total permanent disability cover, which almost quadrupled from $509 per month in 2013 to $1960 a month this year.

He was also being charged for a financial advisor.

"They were taking $24,000 a year," Stephen told A Current Affair.

Stephen admitted he wasn’t keeping tabs on his account and assumed that being charged for an advisor from MBA Financial Strategist was okay.

MBA Financial Strategists told the publication that they attempted to reach out to Stephen in 2017 but heard no response.

"At his most recent review in 2017, we alerted Mr Lockwood that his life insurer was increasing his premiums and it would be prudent to review his level of cover," a spokesperson told A Current Affair.

"We made multiple attempts to contact Mr Lockwood over a number of years to assist with his annual review, however due to lack of contact we ceased charging his annual fee for advice in 2020.”

Stephen’s account has since been referred to the Australian Financial Complaints Authority with AMP cooperating to receive the best possible solution.

Image: ACA

Royal biographer hints at Queen's cause of death

A royal expert claims Queen Elizabeth II was suffering from a “relatively painless” but “invariably fatal” condition before announcing her death 90 minutes before Buckingham Palace.

In a video uploaded to YouTube at 5pm local time (2am AEST), controversial royal biographer Lady Colin Campbell claimed the Queen had passed away at 2.37pm (11.37pm AEST).

Buckingham Palace announced the monarch’s passing 90 minutes later, at around 6.30pm UK time.

Her announcement came at the end of a lengthy clip where the royal expert spoke about a condition the Queen was allegedly suffering from.

Lady Campbell, who is most well-known for her books about Princess Diana and the Queen Mother, claimed that Her Majesty was suffering from a serious bone condition, though she wouldn’t reveal “the word that accurately conveys her diagnosis” out of respect for her “dignity and privacy”.

“If she wants to reveal that word, or her advisors wish to reveal it, that is up to them. I don’t think one needs to use the word to get across the point that I think most people will be able to pick up, that this is a really serious situation,” Lady Campbell said in the video, prior to announcing the monarch’s passing.

“The condition has been induced, in part, according to people who know her well, has been created by the tremendous stress to which she has been subjected over the last three years.”

The Palace has not confirmed the Queen’s cause of death.

“Can you imagine an older woman, as her life is winding down, and she is hoping to enjoy the last few years of her life in good health being bombarded by the tremendous abuse to which she and the monarchy have been subjected,” Lady Campbell said.

She went on to say she had tried to warn people that the Queen was “far more ill than they thought she was” over the past few months.

“I have on several occasions in the last few weeks, if not months, made the point that she had been affected to her bones. I used that repeatedly to get across the point that what she was suffering from was a malady of the bones,” she continued.

“There are two maladies of the bones, one is more painful than the other. Fortunately the Queen’s malady, although it falls in the same category and condition of the more painful one, has been the less painful one.

“It has been restrictive, and I will not go into the medical treatments she has been receiving. I have previously indicated that her bruising was due to cannulas and I have left it at that.”

After the video cuts away, Lady Campell continued filming, claiming she had found out about the Queen’s passing.

“Having just made this video it is with great sadness that I have to inform you that events have yet again overtaken one’s plans, and I am reliably informed that the Queen died at 14.37pm this afternoon,” she said.

“And that the reason why the announcement has not been made so far is that they are waiting for Harry and Meghan to arrive at Balmoral, after which the announcement will be made.”

Buckingham Palace went on to announce the news of Her Majesty’s passing before Harry arrived at Balmoral, while Meghan remained in London.

“I think we should be very grateful for having had such a wonderful monarch,” Lady Campbell continued.

“And I think we can be also grateful for the fact that her death was relatively painless. Bone cancer is not fun.

“But she was fortunate enough to have the lesser of the forms of bone cancer, and she kept her spirits and her vitality to practically the end.

“And now, I would say, my sympathies to all her loved ones, all her family, and really, all her subjects many of whom love her.”

However, the Courier Mail reported that medical experts said frailty and “geriatric syndrome” - a term describing a group of common health conditions older people experience that don’t fit in distinct disease categories - could have been contributors to her passing.

Her symptoms reportedly met five of seven criteria used by Britain’s NHS to classify people as frail, including being over 85, having ongoing health conditions, requiring regular help, being forced to cancel activities and using a walking stick.

In the hours before her death, a statement from Buckingham Palace said doctors were “concerned” for the Queen’s health and that she was “comfortable” at Balmoral.

Images: Getty Images / Lady Colin Campbell (YouTube)
