Update on Hamish and Zoe Foster Blake's terrifying break-in

<p>Hamish and Zoe Foster Blake have revealed details of the terrifying break-in at their rental home in Woollahra, while the couple and their two children, Rudy and Sonny, slept. </p> <p>The thief, identified as Daniel Booth, broke into the couple's four-bedroom home in December 2021 and stole the keys to their Land Rover and Zoe's bag which contained the keys to her Tesla, $1000 in cash, and her designer wallet. </p> <p>Booth was arrested hours later, with the help of a tracking device installed in the stolen Land Rover, and faced Sydney Downing Centre District Court on Tuesday. </p> <p>He pleaded guilty to a raft of charges related to a crime spree which occurred at the time, including a few other stolen vehicles and bags. </p> <p>Booth also admitted to groping a female Corrective Services officer while in custody before telling her: "Sorry miss."</p> <p>In 2018, Booth was serving a jail sentence for robbery with a serious weapon, and was released on parole in late 2021 before committing his Sydney-wide crime spree only weeks later, before getting arrested again after stealing from the Blakes. </p> <p>Crown prosecutor Maeve Curry revealed that the thief has been complaining of "paranoia and delusional thoughts" over the past 18 months, so the sentencing judge would have to balance "the community's interest in protection and also in punishment being imposed' against the difficulty of 'his personal circumstances'."</p> <p>Judge Donna Woodburne will sentence Booth in February 2024.</p> <p>He will remain behind bars until he returns to court. </p> <p><em>Image: Getty</em></p>

<p dir="ltr">Zoe and Hamish Blake are mourning the death of their beloved cat just days after their <a href="https://oversixty.com.au/lifestyle/relationships/inside-hamish-and-zoe-foster-blake-s-insane-10th-wedding-anniversary-party" target="_blank" rel="noopener">10th wedding anniversary</a>.</p> <p dir="ltr">The skincare mogul shared the devastating news to Instagram with a series of photos with their pet cat, Meowbert.</p> <p dir="ltr">“Our Berty boy has died. In his sleep, on his favourite chair. How fortunate we were to share his life, to have his company, his affection, his energy and presence with us every day,” her caption began.</p> <p dir="ltr">“Sixteen years of exquisite companionship, affection, sweet little paw pads and the specific and lovely knowledge that the smallest heartbeat in our family was always nearby.”</p> <p dir="ltr">Zoe then revealed that she and Meowbert fell in love with Hamish at the same time, making his passing more difficult.</p> <p dir="ltr">“Oh, I will miss him deeply! <p dir="ltr">Hamish and Zoe Foster Blake have celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary in style.</p> <p dir="ltr">The power couple threw a Swinging Sixties-inspired party with the theme “1964 wedding” at their stunning $9 million mansion in Sydney.</p> <p dir="ltr">With a guest list of high profile celebrities including comedian Andy Lee and radio host Michael 'Wippa' Wipfli, the party sure was a banger.</p> <p dir="ltr">The loved up couple dressed up as newlyweds with Hamish donning a light blue suit with a cigar and Zoe in a mini sleeveless wedding dress.</p> <p dir="ltr">It seems like no expenses were spared either with the party featuring a tiered wedding cake, as well as authentic table settings, glassware and décor.</p> <p dir="ltr">Hamish took to Instagram to share a glimpse of the fun party, joking that he and Zoe got married in 1964.</p> <p dir="ltr">“58 years ago in 1964 my trillion carat wife @zotheysay and I tied the knot but I swear to god babe, it only feels like 10. xx 😘 (PS heckava night),” his caption read.</p> <p dir="ltr">“Our 10-year wedding anniversary party. The theme was ‘1964 Wedding’ for no other reason than it seemed very fun, and we love Mad Men. (Also, each other! Very much!),” Zoe’s caption read.</p> <p dir="ltr">She included another post revealing who was there: “Our party theme of ‘1964 Wedding’ left it wide open: we had six brides and grooms, two priests, wedding singers, numerous bridesmaids, and several drunk uncles. "One life is all we have": Tragic post from beauty queen who died after mysterious incident

<p>Current Miss Alabama for America, Zoe Sozo Bethel has died after suffering horrific injuries in an accident – about which very little is currently known or has been made public.</p> <p>Aged just 27, Ms Bethel died from sustained injuries at 5:30 am on the 18th of February, just eight days after she was involved in the tragic accident.</p> <p>Her family confirmed on Monday February 21 that Zoe had died in Miami, Florida, saying that she “passed from this life into the next.” The type of accident was not specified.</p> <p>In the touching social media tribute, Zoe’s family said that the young woman “touched the hearts of many people.”</p> <p>The tragic news of Zoe’s passing came just days after her family confirmed that she had been involved in an accident.</p> <p>“Zoe had an accident Thursday night, February 10th, & sustained severe damage to her brain/brainstem & is in a coma,” the family wrote on her Instagram.</p> <blockquote class="instagram-media" style="background: #FFF; But to sacrifice what you are and to live without belief, that is a fate more terrible than dying,” Zoe wrote on January the 18th.</p>

Hamish Blake offloads home to mystery buyer for record price

<p><span>Hamish Blake and Zoe Foster Blake’s Richmond pad has sold for an eye-watering price, breaking a major record for the suburb.</span><br /><br /><span>The luxurious, modern three-bedroom home at 79a Rowena Parade, Richmond, went onThursday evening for $7.435m off a $5.9m-$6.3m price guide.</span><br /><br /><span>Jellis Craig Stonnington agent Carla Fetter said the new buyer is not to be named, but denied that they had AFL ties.</span><br /><br /><span>“It’s a really expensive one so I’m not in a position to say anything about the price … the buyer has asked us to be very discreet,” Ms Fetter said.</span><br /><br /><span>She said the home’s location and lavish fit-out were the major features that caught the eyes of potential buyers.</span><br /><br /><span>“It’s probably one of the best offerings in Richmond. It’s on Richmond Hill in a really prestigious area, but the house itself was spectacular.”</span><br /><br /><span>The celebrity power couple moved to Sydney at the start of 2020, buying a home in the posh Vaucluse area.</span></p>

Alex Pullin’s girlfriend leaves heartbreaking note on door: “Respect my privacy”

<p><span>Alex Pullin's mourning girlfriend has left a tear-jerking note on her front door just a day after losing her partner in a tragedy on the the Gold Coast.</span><br /><br /><span>Alex, 32, was a world champion snowboarder who lost his life after going spearfishing in the water at Palm Beach.</span><br /><br /><span>He suffered a blackout at about 10:30 am on Wednesday and did not wake up despite paramedics performing CPR for 45 minutes on Pullin.</span><br /><br /><span>On Thursday his girlfriend Ellidy Vlug honoured her boyfriend with a handwritten letter that she taped to a front door on the Gold Coast home.</span></p> <p><img style="width: 500px; height: 281.25px;" src="https://oversixtydev.blob.core.windows.net/media/7836881/pullin-1.jpg" alt="" data-udi="umb://media/5e2df3ca0b75477091fab15d77f55414" /><br /><br /><span>“Dear media, thank you for your thoughts, this is a very difficult time for me and I ask that you respect my privacy during this period of grief,” Ms Vlug wrote.</span><br /><br /><span>“Know that Chumpy absolutely loved life and lived life to the full.</span><br /><br /><span>“He lived for us – his family, our puppy Rummi, our amazing friends and the home we made together.</span><br /><br /><span>“He was living his dream, our dream.</span><br /><br /><span>“I am eternally grateful that I have lived my life with him and I am deeply saddened that his life has been cut short.</span><br /><br /><span>“Rest in peace my beautiful man.</span><br /><br /><span>“Kind regards, Ellidy.”</span><br /><br /><span>Earlier that day, Ms Vlug told Daily Mail Australia she last saw her boyfriend alive moments before he'd decided to go for a dive, telling him: “Love you, watch out for sharks.”</span><br /><br /><span>Ms Vlug then went for a walk by herself, and when she returned home, she was met by a neighbour at her door telling her a spear fisher had been pulled from the ocean.</span><br /><br /><span>She then raced to the beach with her mother, where she was told the body belonged to her boyfriend of eight years.</span><br /><br /><span>It's been little more than 24 hours since his death, and Ms Vlug and the couple's friends and family can still hardly believe their loss.</span><br /><br /><span>“I don't know what I'm going to do without him,” she said.</span><br /><br /><span>But the 28-year-old model and business owner says she is determined to make him proud.</span></p> <p><span><img style="width: 500px; height: 281.25px;" src="https://oversixtydev.blob.core.windows.net/media/7836880/pullin-2.jpg" alt="" data-udi="umb://media/25ca6ac77f89425786952b2c6085cb9d" /></span></p> <p><span>The couple were parents to one-year-old Rummi, their beloved Kelpie puppy, and Ms Vlug said Pullin absolutely adored her.</span><br /><br /><span>“He was a family man through and through. Tragic details come to light as Alex ‘Chumpy’ Pullin’s final moments are revealed

<p>The partner of Aussie Winter Olympics star Alex “Chumpy” Pullin witnessed his final moments as paramedics attempted to revive him following a drowning accident on Wednesday.</p> <p>The 32-year-old snowboarder was found by a snorkeller on an artificial reef at Palm Beach on the Gold Coast and pulled from the waters around 10.30am. Lifeguards performed CPR for about 45 minutes, but he did not survive.</p> <p>“He may have been spearfishing. The patient was initially found with a weight belt and there was equipment in the area where he was found,” said Queensland Ambulance Service officer Justin Payne.</p> <p>“Unfortunately, after a long attempt at resuscitation, the patient was unable to be revived.”</p> <p>According to the <em>Courier Mail</em>, Pullin’s long-time girlfriend Ellidy Vlug and her mother arrived on the scene to see the commotion and reportedly expressed hope that the two-time snowboard cross world champion was not the one involved.</p> <blockquote style="background: #FFF; The couple, who are now parents to two beautiful children, have become a dynamic duo in their own right.</p> <p>Although their careers and business ventures exist very much in the public eye, fans still hold onto the hope that they may get a glimpse into their private lives.</p> <p>Sitting down with Shameless Media’s Michelle Andrews and Zara McDonald for an episode of their podcast, Zoe spoke candidly about her husband Hamish.</p> <p>She revealed that her husband is her “best business adviser”.</p> <p>“He’s amazing – you guys know – he’s incredibly experienced. Remembering Zoe Caldwell

<p>Australian-born stage, TV and film star Zoe Caldwell has died.</p> <p>Her son Charlie Whitehead said she died of Parkinson’s disease complications on Sunday at her home in New York. She was 86.</p> <p>The veteran actress won four lead actress Tony Awards spanning 30 years from the plays <em><span>The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie</span></em><span> (1968), <em>Slapstick Tragedy </em>(1966), <em>Madea </em>(1982) and <em>Master Class</em> (1996).</span></p> <p>Caldwell was born in Melbourne on September 14, 1933. She joined the Royal Shakespeare Company in 1959 and made her Broadway debut in 1965 as a replacement player in <em>The Devils</em>.</p> <p>One of her most famous roles is as the opera great Maria Callas in <em>Master Class</em>. From 1995 to 1997, the show played nearly 600 performances at the John Golden Theatre.</p> <p>Caldwell also starred in a number of films, including Disney’s <em>Lilo & Stitch </em>and romantic fantasy <em>The Purple Rose of Cairo</em>.</p> <p>In 2001, Caldwell published her memoir <em>I Will Be Cleopatra</em>, which detailed her journey as an aspiring actor to achieve the role of the Egyptian ruler opposite Christopher Plummer in the 1967 production of <span>Shakespeare’s <em>Antony and Cleopatra</em>.</span></p> <p>She is survived by two sons, Sam and Charlie Whitehead, and grandchildren Ross and Ward Whitehead.</p>

Lenny Kravitz opens up about relationship with ex-fiancée Nicole Kidman

<p>Almost a year after Australian sweetheart <a href="/news/news/2017/02/nicole-kidman-secret-engagement/" target="_blank"><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Nicole Kidman revealed she was engaged to Lenny Kravitz</span></strong></a> back in 2003, the rock star has finally broken his silence on what he thinks of his ex.</p> <p>“Nicole is amazing,” the <em>Are You Gonna Go My Way</em> singer told <a href="https://www.mrporter.com/journal/the-look/how-mr-lenny-kravitz-keeps-his-cool/2718" target="_blank"><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Mr Porter</span></strong></a>. “I have stayed friends with my exes, in most cases.”</p> <p>The 53-year-old added that he was excited when he heard that his daughter, Zoe Kravitz, would be reuniting with Kidman on the set of hit TV series <em>Big Little Lies</em>, which earned the Aussie star an Emmy as well as a Golden Globe nomination.</p> <p>“Zoe and she hadn’t spent time together since she was younger, since Nicole and I were together, so that was great,” Kravitz said.</p> <p>And Zoe was just as excited to reunite with her would-be stepmother, revealing she once lived with her dad and Kidman in Australia. </p> <p>“I hadn’t seen her in a long time before <em>Big Little Lies</em>, but there was a point where we were all kind of living together. I was about 13, and she would take me to see movies; she was so nice to me.”</p> <p>Lenny also remains good friends with ex-wife and Zoe’s mother, Lisa Bonet. </p> <p>“We were mirror images of each other, male and female,” he said. “It was quite extraordinary. Zoe Foster Blake reveals she had “some dark days” after birth of daughter

<p>She welcomed her second child, daughter Rudy Hazel, with comedian Hamish Blake in July, but Zoë Foster Blake has only now revealed the “dark days” following the birth of her daughter.</p> <p>The 37-year-old opened up about her labour, birth and post-natal experiences in a candid blog post on <a href="http://www.zotheysay.com/zoes-blog" target="_blank"><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>ZoTheySay.com</strong></span></a> that quickly crashed her website.</p> <p>“There were some dark days around week six and seven, though. Why Hamish has not held his new baby girl yet

<p><span>Hamish and his wife Zoe welcomed their newborn girl into the world last week.</span></p> <p><span>During his first interview since the birth, Hamish revealed to Carrie Bickmore and Tommy Little that he has not yet held little Rudy.</span></p> <p><span>Hamish explained his three-year-old son caught a “terrible virus” a week before the birth that he then caught.</span></p> <p><span>The 35-year-old comedian said of Rudy, “She’s lovely, and I enjoy looking at her from a distance or behind a surgical mask, but you’re right now talking to a guy with pink eye and a lot of stuff going on."</span></p> <p><span>"Everyone’s saying, ‘Enjoy the baby bubble, enjoy the baby bubble’ — I’m in a Hazmat bubble! With the rise in popularity of gluten-free eating, the array of food options that fall under the gluten-free realm are vaster than ever before (and more delicious!).</p> <p>Below are some simple, everyday ingredients that are tasty, versatile and completely gluten-free:</p> <p><strong>Quinoa</strong></p> <p>Although quinoa has been around for years, many of us are unaware that it’s actually gluten-free and a safe, healthy grain alternative. Not only does quinoa have a multitude of nutritious advantages, it’s also considered to be a superfood as it contains all the essential amino acids, which means that it is an excellent source of protein. Quinoa is extremely high in fibre, much higher than any other grain and is a source of magnesium and folate, which assist with muscle relaxation, regulating calcium levels, activating vitamins B and D, and cell and muscle health.</p> <p>Consumed as part of a balanced diet, quinoa is a complex carbohydrate and essential wholegrain, which can help increase energy levels – a perfect snack to avoid the 3pm slump! If you’re eating out, be sure you ask.</p> <p><strong>Beans</strong></p> <p>Beans and mash - what could be a better gluten-free combination? Both of these ingredients tend to get forgotten by those who choose to eat a gluten-free diet. However, the variations of beans are enormous. Black beans, kidney beans, lentils, garbanzo beans - the list goes on. Beans are part of the legume family, which are ‘heart healthy’ being low in fat, a source of complex carbohydrates, protein and fibre they’re also a perfect option for vegetarians. Beans can provide health benefits by filling your stomach, balancing blood sugar levels and are also good for digestive purposes. They are extremely adaptable ingredients that can be added to many different dishes (they also have a long shelf life and are extremely economical, which is great!). I like to include beans in a chunky vegetable lentil soup, as a filling in a healthy Mexican burrito bowl, or even as the hero ingredient in gluten-free black bean brownies. Make sure to check the label correctly to make sure the beans haven’t been subjected to gluten cross contamination.</p> <p>These four tasty gluten-free ingredients are all extremely practical and can be used in a variety of dishes, whether you choose to use them as a base or hero element of your dish – get creative and have a little fun whilst doing so. And the perfect foundation for a comfort food kind of night as the weather starts to cool!</p>

It’s quick and easy and filled with superfoods like chia seeds and goji berries, but if that doesn’t take your fancy you can always customise it. </p> <p><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Serves:</span></strong> 1</p> <p><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Ingredients</span>:</strong></p> <ul> <li>1 cup Vitasoy Coconut Milk</li> <li>½ avocado</li> <li>1 frozen banana</li> <li>1 handful berries</li> <li>½ tsp honey, optional</li> </ul> <p><strong>For the toppings</strong></p> <ul> <li>Chia seeds</li> <li>Goji berries</li> <li>Nuts and seeds</li> <li>Shredded coconut</li> </ul> <p><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Method:</span></strong></p> <p>1. Place all ingredients into a blender/food processer and blend well, adding extra Coconut Milk until desired consistency is reached</p> <p>2.
