Carrie Bickmore’s horrifying discovery: “What did you do?”

There is nothing sweeter than a child giving a special drawing made just for you – however Carrie Bickmore was less than happy when she found out her 22-month-old toddler had taken a sharpie pen to her fabric couch.

In a hilarious video posted to her Instagram Carrie can be heard asking the toddler: “What did you do?”

“Drawn,” Adelaide replied, pointing to the couch.

“I know you’re drawing, but not with the Sharpie!” The Project host incredulously responded.

In the caption of the post Carrie wrote that she had left the room to do an interview while Adelaide “got creative in the other room”.

“Who left the Sharpie lying around?” she added. “How do I remove?”

Carrie’s post soon got hundreds of comments, with hundreds of her followers both empathising and offering easy solutions.

“Apparently milk works, haven’t tried it though,” one person wrote.

Another added: “Try hairspray and dabbing with paper towel. Works for pen.”

Unfortunately some people were convinced the couch was beyond repair, with one user commenting that Carrie would need to turn the cushion over or use a throw to cover it up.

“You don’t … you buy a new couch,” another person wrote.

Adelaide is Carrie’s third child and second with partner Chris Walker.

With Chris, she also shares their five-year-old daughter Evie.

Carrie’s eldest child Oliver, 13, is with her late husband Greg Lange, who tragically died of brain cancer in 2010.

In May, Carrie revealed that little Adelaide had taken her first steps.

Tragically, there was a “bittersweet” twist for the TV star who said it had happened while she was at work.

Carrie explained to news.com.au she was “pretending it hasn’t happened yet” in the hopes Adelaide would show off her new skills again.

“I wasn’t there; I was at work, which is bittersweet, and she hasn’t done it again since which is very annoying because other than the few days I’m at work, I’m at home the whole time,” she said.

Carrie said it took more than a month for the tiny toddler to start walking again – this time the star caught it on camera.

“After walking once when I was at work five weeks ago she didn’t do it again,” she said.

“I was starting to worry … but all in good time … at 18 months she is finally on her way … they really do all walk to the beat of their own drum don’t they!”
