Emotional deleted scene from Mrs Doubtfire
In 2014, the world was rocked by the sudden death of Robin Williams, but newly surfaced alternate scenes from his much beloved comedy Mrs Doubtfire showcase what a loss his incredible acting talents really were.
The two deleted scenes in this video show a much darker and more dramatic side to the film that what inevitably made it to the final cut. Both scenes show Williams’ character Daniel and his wife Sally (played by Sally Field) fighting in front of their kids. The second scene is shot from the children’s point of view, and it’s absolutely gut-wrenching – especially since it was reportedly set to play just after Sally discovers Mrs. Doubtfire’s true identity.
I don’t know about you, but I’m glad they stuck with the final cut.
