Shocking footage released of George Clooney’s motorcycle crash
CCTV footage has recorded the moment actor George Clooney was thrown off his motorcycle after colliding with a car in Italy.
Clooney is now recovering after the scary incident, which occurred on Tuesday.
“He was treated and released from an Olbia hospital. He is recovering at his home and will be fine,” a publicist for the actor told Yahoo Entertainment.
The 57-year-old star was riding his motorcycle in Sardinia, Italy, when a Mercedes pulled in front of him, throwing him off his vehicle.
According to TMZ, Clooney was thrown 20 feet in the air after making impact with the car.
The actor’s helmet struck the car’s windshield, causing it to shatter and the helmet to break.
A police spokesman said: ''The driver of the car was a local man in his 60s and we are speaking to him about what happened.
''It was fortunate the man on the motorbike was wearing a helmet as his head hit the windscreen which smashed.''
Clooney was taken to a local hospital where he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
His wife Amal immediately rushed to the hospital to be with him and he was discharged two hours later.
This is not the first time Clooney has been involved in a motorcycle accident.
In 2007, Clooney and his former girlfriend Sarah Larson were involved in a crash while on his motorcycle in New Jersey.
At the time, the actor suffered a broken rib and Larson broke her foot.
