Cher makes major announcement to her fans
Cher has shared exciting news on her Twitter account, announcing that she will be joining the cast of the Mamma Mia sequel, Mamma Mia 2: Here We Go Again!.
The 71-year-old Oscar winner will join original cast members including Meryl Streep, Amanda Seyfried, Colin Firth, Pierce Brosnan, Julie Waters and Christine Baranski.
The storyline of the sequel has been under wraps but it has been confirmed that Lily James has joined the cast to play a younger version of Meryl Streep’s character, revealing there will be some flashbacks.
Cher made the announcement on Twitter after a fan asked her if the rumours of her joining the musical were true.
Cher was giving her fans sly hints on Twitter about her news but because the singer is known for her random tweeting habits, no one suspected anything.
She was even tweeting the lyrics of a certain ABBA song.
