Robbie Williams stuns 60 Minutes reporter with shocking admission
To many, Robbie Williams’ life would seem ideal. The former Take That star has an enviable career, selling 75 million albums and accruing a fortune of over $270 million.
But a shocking admission aired on last night’s episode of 60 Minutes has proven life off the stage isn’t so rosy for the pop icon, who stunned the host with a shocking admission.
Williams told reporter Liam Bartlett that the funny, confident persona you saw onstage is quite a departure from the quiet, introspective man you see offstage.
“I'm an introvert, and I do an impression of an extrovert,” he reveals.
“My natural way of living would be sort of isolating away from people, and feeling uncomfortable in social situations.”
After a well-documented struggle with addiction, Williams credits his wife Ayda Field and his children for helping him turn he life around, and is at peace with the mental turmoil which he believes has worked in his favour.
“Use whatever you’ve got,” he jokingly tells Bartlett.
“My dysfunction’s taken me this far so God bless my dysfunction.”
