Samuel Johnson wins Dancing With The Stars in shock victory
Samuel Johnson has taken the title of the 2019 Dancing With The Stars winner, beating out Courtney Act and Constance Hall.
Along with the mirrorball trophy, Johnson is also set to receive a $50,000 prize, which he will donate to his Love Your Sister charity.
Judge Sharna Burgess congratulated Johnson and his dance partner Jorja Freeman on their victory.
“It's magical what you've done this season, especially you Jorja,” said Burgess.
“Samuel, you wear your heart on your sleeve. You’re real, you’re raw and the ultimate showman.”

In the grand finale, the 41-year-old former actor said reaching the end stage of the competition was “the weirdest, trippiest, most awesome thing” to have happened to him.
“This journey has been insane, I started off terrified. A kid glued to the wall at a blue light disco to the grand finale of DWTS, this has brought the best out in me,” he said.
“I’m fitter, healthier and happier, I feel like the best version of me.”

Johnson also gave a shoutout to Act, who won the second place.
“Courtney was the better dancer!”
Act also congratulated Johnson on winning the dance competition in an Instagram post Tuesday morning.
“We didn’t win the Mirror Ball, but I feel like we won by being able to share so many dances and stories over the last 10 weeks,” Act wrote.
“[Johnson] totally travelled the furthest in the competition and it was an honour to be pipped to the post by him!”
Meanwhile, Hall finished in third place.
