Frances Abbott shows off new engagement ring
Just over two weeks after she announced her shock engagement, former PM Tony Abbott’s daughter Frances has finally received the ring she and fiancé Sam Loch ordered after he unexpectedly proposed – and it’s stunning.
Taking to Instagram, the 26-year-old fitness fanatic unveiled her ring, which appears to be a sapphire stone in a white gold setting, while giving a cheeky middle finger to the camera.
The gorgeous ring is perfect for the untraditional couple, who became engaged after just two weeks of dating.
Frances opened up about the surprise proposal to News Corp over the weekend, saying, “As soon as I met him, I knew it was something special.”
The bodybuilder told Stellar magazine of the moment her now-fiancé popped the question with a bottle of champagne while she was putting peas away in the freezer.
“He said, ‘Why aren’t you asking me why I’m holding champagne?’ So I said, ‘OK... why are you holding champagne?’ He said, ‘Well, I thought we could drink it after I asked you to marry me.’”
