Ally Langdon missing for six days on Today Show

Today Show co-host Allison Langdon is the most likely contender to be replacing Tracy Grimshaw as host of A Current Affair.

Ally was once again missing from her usual spot on the breakfast program with rumours swirling that she is prepping for her new role.

Grimshaw shocked viewers when she announced she is stepping down at the end of the year and going on an extended break.

The list of contenders for the top job included Chris O'Keefe, veteran police reporter Dimity Clancey, Deborah Knight and Sylvia Jeffries.

Carrie Bickmore’s name also swirled around after she announced she was leaving The Project after fronting the show for 13 years.

However, with Ally not appearing on the Today Show for six days in a row as of November 10, it is possible she is getting ready for her new job.

She has been covered by US correspondent Amelia Adams, who is sitting alongside longterm co-host Karl Stefanovic.

Ally first joined the Today Show in early 2020 alongside Karl after he was brought back following a shambles with his personal life.
