The show would come on to be one of the leading shows of the time due its lovability and comedy.
Most fans of the show have never seen any part of the show in colour but special footage shot by an audience member reveals what the set actually looked like.
The footage reveals what the iconic apartment looked like in colour. The footage is mixed in with scenes that were broadcast to see how it all worked together.
The sets might seem overtly colourful as sets produced for black and white had to appear on camera properly and that mean a specific colour combination had to be used.
