Sylvia Jeffreys' announces big news!
She may have stepped down from her position as newsreader on the Today show last year, but Sylvia Jeffrey’s hasn’t let the minor speed-bump stop her from flourishing.
Nine Network has confirmed that the veteran journalist will be working across “several departments” in 2019.
Speaking to Daily Mail Australia, a spokesperson for Nine said: “Sylvia is working on some projects close to her heart across several departments, including A Current Affair.”
The exciting news comes after the 32-year-old was photographed arriving at Nine’s headquarters in Willoughby, Sydney last week.
Her departure from the Today show was announced on December 23, with Sylvia issuing an emotional farewell through a statement.
“I’ve loved and embraced every minute of my Today show chapter and I’m thrilled to sink my teeth into a brand new project,” she said.
“Opportunity often knocks when you least expect it and I’m ready to dive right in to what’s ahead of me.”
And while she climbs up the corporate ladder, the newsreader isn’t quite ready to leap into the next stages of her personal life.
With rumours rife about her expecting a child with former Weekend Todayco-host and husband Peter Stefanovic, the journalist was forced to deny those claims last month.
“Nope, not pregnant … Thanks for the casual reminder to wear Spanx on all public outings,” she wrote on social media.
