Tips to exude confidence
We all have days where we’re not feeling that confident, but if you find yourself feeling this way more often than not, it’s time to revaluate. Try practising these techniques to become a happier, more confident you.
Stop using the word “fat” – This is such a negative word that women so readily throw around during self-descriptions. It can only make you feel worse about yourself, so banish the word “fat” from your vocabulary.
Exercise – Not only will this tone your physique and make you feel as though you’re actively working towards something, exercise releases endorphins which help keep you healthy and happy. When you’re feeling healthy and happy, who has time to worry about the size of their thighs?
Remember what you’re capable of – When you look in the mirror, don’t think about the negative things you dislike. Instead, think “With this body I ran a marathon,” or, “With this body I conceived my children.” Think about what your body is capable of instead of focusing on its perceived flaws.
Focus on the spots you love – We all have aspects of our body we might like to change if we could. Take the focus off of these by really thinking about the parts of your body that you love instead and try saying it out loud. Depending on your body confidence level, this might be hard at first, but eventually it will get easier as you shift your mindset to a more positive one.
Treat yourself the way you treat others – Would you describe any woman on the street the same negative way you think about yourself? Probably not, right? Then stop. If you would never treat another woman the way you treat yourself, you need to hold yourself to that same higher standard, because your feelings are equally as important as hers.
