Do you find this KFC ad offensive?
A new KFC television commercial that features a children’s drawing of parents “naked wrestling” has prompted an investigation by the Advertising Standards Bureau.
The ad shows a mum and dad reacting with horror to a drawing of them “naked wrestling”, which is held up by a teacher.
This version of the ad is no longer available online.
The clip has received 30 complaints from viewers, Advertising Standards Bureau chief executive officer Fiona Jolly told the Herald Sun.
It is now being reviewed and findings are expected to be announced next week.
KFC defended the ad, telling the newspaper it was part of a “light-hearted series capturing real-life moments consumers can relate to”.
Due to the complains, an alternate version of the TV spot was aired, replacing the naked drawing with one that reads: “Daddy has a fart trumpet”.
The alternate version of the ad is the same except the offending drawing has been changed.
