Karl Stefanovic issued official police caution
Today show host Karl Stefanovic has received an official caution from police after he was accused of touching a waiter at a cancer fundraiser in Brisbane last August.
Police have said that they’ve concluded their investigations in a statement released on Wednesday.
“A 48-year-old Sunshine Beach man has been issued an adult caution for common assault,” said a police spokesperson.
“The matter has now been finalised from a police perspective.”
An “ adult caution” is a formal warning that is administered by a police officer for a lower-end, non-habitual offence.
The exact circumstances of the alleged assault were unclear and have not been made public.
This decision comes after almost seven months since the news of his investigation went public.
