Former Neighbours star Scott McGregor has been charged with one count of sexual assault after a night out at a popular Melbourne pub.
McGregor, who played police detective Mark Brennan on the soap from 2013 to 2020, was charged in relation to an incident at St Kilda’s Hotel Esplanade, or ‘Espy’, on Sunday, February 20.
The Herald Sun reported that McGregor was charged by detectives from the Bayside Sexual Offences and Child Investigation Team last week.
The 41-year-old actor and model will appear at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court in January in relation to the charge.
Despite his lengthy stint on Neighbours and appearance in 940 episodes, fans were disappointed when he didn’t appear on the show’s final episode in July, which saw the return of many of the show’s alumni.
The star, who has also appeared in Underbelly, Offspring, and Winners & Losers, lives in Melbourne with his wife Bianka and two children.
