New details on bodies found tied together in dam
One of the bodies found dumped in a Queensland dam on Saturday has been identified.
Darryl Smith, 51, was found floating in the Gordonbrook Dam in South Burnett, tied up to a woman, who is yet to be identified.
Police are urging anyone with information of Mr Smith’s activities before Saturday 19 to come forward.
Mr Smith’s Holden commodore Station Wagon was found parked near the dam. Police believe it had been parked there since March 13.
A group of men camping over the weekend were informed of the two dead bodies by a kayaker about 3.30 pm on Saturday.
Queensland police continue to investigate the post-mortem and have asked anyone with any information to come forward.
They have dismissed any involvement of a third party in Mr Smith’s and the woman’s death.
