“Throwing money away”: The 5 basic road rules costing Aussies millions in fines
Aussie drivers are throwing away millions of dollars every year for breaking some of the most basic road rules in the country.
A new report from Queensland’s Royal Automobile Club (RACQ) has revealed the five top road rules that drivers are breaking every day despite knowing about them.
RACQ spokeswoman Lauren Ritchie said drivers were “throwing away money” on “unnecessary fines”.
In the 2016/17 financial year, Aussies paid more than $1.1 billion alone in speeding fines, but these basic road rules are also catching out drivers.
