RSL patron returns sandwich because its not cut in half as requested

A patron at Corowa RSL club has taken the customer is always right to a whole new level, returning a cheese sandwich to staff that hadn’t been “cut in half as requested”.

The complaint was originally laughed off by staff at the NSW club, but when they investigated further they found out the patron was technically correct.

One half of the sandwich turned out to be five centimetres in width, while the other half was six centimetres, a nightmare for any nit-picking customer!

Corowa RSL CEO Peter Norris saw the fun in it and shared the photo on LinkedIn.

“In Clubland we do see some strange customer complaints. This roll was returned today because it was not cut in ‘half’ as requested by the customer.

“While it was quickly dismissed as funny, further investigation revealed the customer was in fact correct and we were a full cm off the perfect cut! Only in Clubs.”

Do you think you would’ve sent the sandwich back?
