Seniors to receive massive gas and electricity discount
In an effort to lower the cost of living for seniors, the New South Wales Government has announced a new deal with AGL. The two-deal contract could mean savings of up to 25 per cent on gas and electricity bills for Seniors Card holders.
The deal is being rolled out this month, with guaranteed discounts of 25 per cent off electricity and 19 per cent off gas rates on two-year plans.
“Given we are now well and truly into winter, the timing of this renewal could not be better,” Seven Hills MP Mark Taylor told the Blacktown Sun. “We know every dollar counts for seniors.”
There are over 1.5 million Seniors Card members in NSW alone taking advantage of the discounts offered by more than 5,600 businesses around the state.
