81-year-old skydives to mark 10 years free of cancer
Meet Anna Mae Mliner, an 81-year-old cancer survivor who decided to live life to the fullest when she got the all clear a decade ago.
Before being diagnosed with cancer, the Wisconsin had always wanted to tick off skydiving on her bucket list. When she was told she was cancer-free in 2008, she celebrated by skydiving for the first time.
“It was the scariest thing I could do that would compare to hearing the words you have cancer," Mliner told a local news station.
Now 10 years later, Mliner marked the decade anniversary with another sky-dive.
Touchingly, Mliner carries a list of names of friends who have died from, or who are currently battling, the disease while she skydives.
“Don’t wait to do the things you want to do," said Mliner.
