"Absolutely changed my life": Chrissie Swan's emotional health confession

Chrissie Swan has broken down in tears after revealing how daily walks changed her life.

The TV and radio personality became emotional when discussing how walking has changed her life because it allows her to destress and sort out problems in her mind while looking at nature and getting fresh air.

Appearing on The Imperfects podcast, a teary Chrissie credited her daily walks to her impressive weight loss and mental wellness.

Her lifestyle change and weightless journey began four years ago, when she decided to make a few lifestyle changes, and moving her body more was one of them.

"I was 45 and I went, 'I reckon I'm halfway to dying'," she said.

"Am I happy with this going on? Am I happy with who I am with other people, am I happy with who I am for me? What do I want to change?"

"And then I started to walk and I get emotional thinking about it because walking has absolutely changed my life."

Chrissie went on to say that whenever life is getting on top of her, she gets out and walks and uses that time to clear her mind.

"Every day I walk, if there's anything troubling me," she said.

"I am so in tune and if something feels wrong I say, 'I'm going to walk on it' and sometimes that takes an hour and sometimes it takes 10km every day for a month, but I always get the answer."

Chrissie has previously opened up about how Melbourne's strict Covid lockdowns prompted her to kickstart her health changes, by citing a new diet, daily walks and sobriety as the secrets to her slim-down.

Since embarking on her fitness journey, Chrissie has dropped a reported 90kgs.
