New tool tells you if you’re at risk of getting cancer

According to Federal Health Minister Sussan Ley, 130,000 Australians are expected to be diagnosed with cancer this year alone. As a result, the government have launched an new online tool in an effort to raise awareness of how certain lifestyle factors may lead to a cancer diagnosis.

Talking to the ABC, Ley explains that the aim of the new tool is to show people how they can minimise their risk of cancer by making healthier lifestyle choices. “We want that number to come down and we want people to realise they can do something about their own risk.”
