Ally Langdon returns to Today!

Ally Langdon has returned to her desk on Today alongside Karl Stefanovic after injuring her knee in a terrible accident.

Stefanovic welcomed his co-host back with open arms, saying the Channel 9 crew had made "considerable alterations" to ensure her comfort.

Stefanovic wheeled Langdon into work and the pair switched positions on the news desk so Langdon is able to prop up her injured leg.

"The lights are very kind to you on this side of the desk," Langdon said, adding she's excited to be back at work.

"I'm so happy to be back.

"It feels like it's been a really long month. The leg is getting better slowly.

"To be out of the house, because I've been stuck inside for about a month, yeah it's fun."

Langdon was put out after she injured her knee while filming a segment for the show on the Gold Coast last month.

The mother-of-two underwent major surgery in order to repair the damage.

Landon updated Today viewers on her condition a day after her operation.

"I have a nice amount of metal in my knee now and have to wait a further five weeks before I can put any weight on my right leg," she wrote.

"Patience has never been a strength of mine so let's see how we go."
