Coronavirus: Three young children rushed to hospital from quarantine hotel

Three young children were stretchered out of a Sydney hotel last night and taken to hospital while undergoing quarantine.

Footage from around 10 pm yesterday showed the children being taken from the Hilton hotel in the CBD into an ambulance by paramedics who were wearing protective gear.

They were admitted to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital.

Speaking to Nine.com.au, NSW Ambulance said it could not issue a comment but it is believed their conditions are related to COVID-19.

There are currently 400 Australians staying at the Sydney Hilton in enforced quarantine.

The incident occurred just as the first 288 Australians quarantined in Sydney’s Swissotel began to leave this morning.

NSW Police Commissioner Mick Fuller says the people who arrived in Australia on March 26 have undertaken the mandatory 14-day self-isolation and will be able to leave today.

All travellers will receive a letter confirming their period of isolation and will undergo a final health check.
