Beloved TV star Kerri-Anne Kennerley announced that her mother passed on Monday May 25th.

She shared the heartbreaking news on Instagram with a sweet video tribute to the woman who raised her.

"This morning we lost our beautiful dancing queen, always elegant and graceful," she wrote.

"She is now up there dancing with dad and John. We will always love you Mum"

Her mother was just a few months short of her 100th birthday in September, with Kerri-Anne and her mother always being close.

Kerri-Anne posted a snap of her mother in May 2020, sharing her mother's life story.

"Mum has been through the depression, World War 2, gave a wonderful life to 4 kids and supported her devoted husband. At 98 her light still shines. Sending my love to the mums and motherly figures out there."

The loss of her mother comes after the tragic death of Kerri-Anne's husband in 2019 after a long health battle.

"It was a shock because I thought I would really have John for many, many, many years to come and a lot of things happened very quickly so it was a terrible shock," she told audiences on Studio 10.
