Queen Elizabeth hopeful for 2021 in special message

After a turbulent year gets left behind, Queen Elizabeth has given a special message to anyone who might have struggled in 2020.

Her Majesty shared a few special words on the official royal family Instagram account, writing “We should take comfort that while we may have more still to endure, better days will return: we will be with our friends again; we will be with our families again; we will meet again."

The beautiful words were finished off with, "Her Majesty The Queen," before the post continued, "Wishing you all a Happy and Healthy New Year."

The lovely Instagram post included four photos from the Queen’s year, which underwent a series of changes due to the COVID-19 pandemic forcing the royal family to make adaptations to their duties.

The first photograph is the portrait taken to pay homage to Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip's 73rd wedding anniversary, which took place in November.

The second photo also showed "The iconic Round Tower at Windsor Castle was turned blue twice this year to thank NHS staff for their vital work during the pandemic."

The third photo is of the queen's address to the nation near the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, which was screened in Piccadilly Circus in London.

The last photograph is the queen being shown knighting Captain Tom Moore, the 100-year-old who led a huge fundraising effort for the United Kingdom's National Health Service.
