7 beauty mistakes we’re all guilty of
Beauty and make-up routines can be a tiresome process filled with many little faux pas that we’re all guilty of. You’ll be please to hear we all tend to make the same mistakes.
Here are seven things it’s common to get wrong when it comes to beauty and make-up.
1. Not throwing out your mascara for over two years
Mascara is like toothpaste, isn’t it? There’s always a little more you can squeeze out, but it doesn’t mean you have to use it. In fact, we are “supposed” to replace mascara every three months. Sounds like it could be a fib started by the cosmetic companies.
2. Not washing make-up brushes
Built up make up on our brushes is a breeding zone for bacteria. They also don’t work as well when they are all clogged up! Who really has the time though.
3. Removing the rest of your nail polish by picking it off
Why get the nail polish remover that’s in the cupboard when you seem to be doing so well by yourself?
4. Pouring too much foundation out by accident and then wiping it off your hand and scraping it back in the bottle
Well what were you suppose to do, waste it? It’s all the packaging’s fault for not dispensing the correct amount.
5. Keeping a compact full of broken pressed powder that spills out all over the place every time you open it
Surely it’s still useful, even if it does make a mess of the bathroom, and your handbag, and the carpet.
6. Sleeping in your make-up
It's not only incredibly bad for our skin, but have you ever tried to get mascara off a white pillow case? It cannot be done.
7. Trying on testers
It doesn’t matter if no one sees us use testers; it’s still a roll of the contagion dice.
