How to wake up looking fresh (even when you’re not!)
If you’ve had a poor night sleep it can be tough to get up and face the day.
Follow our step-by-step guide to bluff your way through without the world knowing you didn’t sleep well.
Step 1
Take a cool shower. The cold water stimulates the circulation in your body and can help to constrict the blood vessels in your face. It also helps to wake you up a little.
Step 2
Use a gentle face scrub to smooth your skin and give you a fresher look. Some shower gel can help put a spring in your step too, especially if it contains ingredients such as peppermint or lime.
Step 3
Pat dry and moisturise your whole body, including an eye cream if you have one. It’s a great idea to keep your eye cream in the fridge, as the cooler temperature can help it to work even better.
Step 4
Add some colour back to a drained face with some tinted moisturiser. This is a better option than foundation or powder as these can emphasise your dry skin. Cover any dark circles with a light dab of concealer.
Step 5
Brighten your tired eyes now by popping in some whitening eye drops, curling your lashes, and then applying some mascara.
Step 6
More colour can be added now to your lips and cheeks to give you the healthy glow that’s missing.
