Queen Elizabeth celebrates 94th birthday with beautiful tributes
Prince William and Duchess Kate have kick-started the social media tributes to Queen Elizabeth on her 94th birthday.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge shared a heartwarming photo of themselves with the head of the monarch when she was viewing Kate’s garden feature at the Royal Chelsea Show last May.
“Wishing Her Majesty The Queen a very happy 94th birthday today!,” they captioned the post.
Charles also joined in by sharing four beautiful photographs of his mother.
The heir to the throne posted the personal snaps on the Clarence House social media accounts, along with the caption: “Wishing Her Majesty The Queen a very Happy 94th Birthday.”
This year, the Queen will be having an intimate celebration with only her husband Prince Philip in attendance at Windsor Castle, with the royal asking for no special treatment amid the pandemic.
And for the first time in her 68-year reign, Her Majesty cancelled the traditional gun salute.
The Queen’s formal birthday celebrations, held in June, have also been cancelled due to the outbreak.
