Sam Armytage opens up in rare interview
In a candid interview on the Kyle and Jackie O Show, Sam Armytage has opened up about her personal life and her career after Sunrise.
The Channel 7 personality spoke with Kyle Sandilands about his recent baby news with fiancée Tegan Kynaston, and how he is excited about his future as a father.
“I think you’ll be a wonderful father. I think it’ll really soften you actually,” Sam responded, to which Kyle asked, “What’s your story with the kids? Have you and Mr Lavender had a discussion? Does his sperm work or no?”
Sam laughed at the question before reminding the radio shock jock that her husband, Richard Lavender, already has two children from his previous marriage so "it does".
Kyle asked Sam wife she had ever considering having kids, to which she answered, " I think I'm a bit past it now."
“It was on my radar but it just hasn’t happened but you have to redirect your path.”
Kyle also asked Sam how her career has progressed since leaving Sunrise almost one year ago.
He asked, "Do you ever watch Sunrise, or miss it?"
"No. We never put the TV on in the mornings ever," Sam responded.
Since leaving the show after eight years in the hosting chair, Sam now hosts her own podcast Called Something to Talk About for Stellar Magazine.
