Samantha Armytage shares first photos of life after Sunrise
Samantha Armytage is settling into her new life as a housewife after exiting Sunrise last week.
The 44-year-old shared a series of photos to her Instagram Stories on Monday, showing off her new laidback lifestyle with husband Richard Lavender, 61.
The former TV star documented the affect of NSW's historic downpour, as a number of bowls sat on her kitchen bench, catching leaks from the ceiling.
Next she shared an adorable photo of her Labrador Banjo, who was forced to stay inside because of the rain.
Sam also posted a photo of herself and Richard inside a car, rugged up against the cold weather.
In captioning the photo, Sam quoted some advice her late mother had given her, and said she was in a "new chapter" of her life.
She wrote: "'Edit your life frequently and ruthlessly. It's your masterpiece after all.' My mum. And I did.
The blonde added: "And this is what the next chapter looks like... "
Sam officially signed off from Sunrise earlier this month, after an impressive eight-year run on Australia's most popular breakfast show.
Her resignation announcement followed months of rumours she was preparing to spend more time with Richard at his country estate in the Southern Highlands.
