Crown Princess Mary reveals new photos of Princess Isabella for her 13th birthday

Crown Princess Mary treated fans to a rare glimpse of royal life by sharing a portrait of her and Crown Prince Frederik’s eldest daughter, Princess Isabella.

The young royal is turning 13 and the Danish Palace revealed the photo that Princess Mary snapped herself as well as four other private photos from the family archives.

The photos include a portrait taken by Princess Mary snapped herself as well as Princess Isabella sitting with her paternal grandmother, Queen Margrethe.

The caption sweetly reads:

“It is Her Royal Highness Princess Isabella's 13th birthday, and for today's occasion it is a pleasure for the Crown Prince couple to share a new image of the Princess.

“In addition, the Crown Prince couple marks that Princess Isabella is now a teenager by publishing four private photos from Her Royal Highness's life.”

The photos are from different stages of Princess Isabella’s life, with the fourth photo showing her as a toddler dressed in a pink princess costume and the last photo showing an infant Isabella staying warm in a white coat and pink hat.

Princess Isabella and her siblings are back in Denmark due to the coronavirus pandemic after studying in Switzerland.

"In light of the worsening situation in Denmark in connection with the handling of the spread of COVID-19, the Crown Prince couple has decided that the family will leave home from Switzerland," a statement confirmed.

"The Crown Prince couple find it most natural to return home and stand with the Danes in a time that requires a lot of everyone and where there is a shared responsibility for looking after each other".
