“I failed, I failed, I failed, I failed, I failed,” Joyce said.
In the interview, which is the first time Campion has spoken publicly about the scandal since their affair boke, it is revealed that the couple were pressured to abort their baby.
“The pressure on [Vikki] was immense … [she was] a 30-year-old woman having an affair with the Deputy Prime Minister of Australia at that time,” Cullen said.
The journalist said that after the interview airs, the public could change their opinion on the couple.
“Once you hear what she has to say, you hear her side of the story, opinions may very well change,” he said.
“I see people that are very much in love.
“They told me that they’re absolutely in this for the long haul.
“And let’s face it, they’ve also got a six-week-old baby on their hands, which is little Sebastian. They’re very much a family.”
