Photo gallery: Historical pictures of the Royal Easter Show

Beginning way back in 1823, the Sydney Royal Easter Show has been entertaining families for nearly two centuries. It is the largest event in Australia and today sees over a million people attend. Like today, for decades many families travelled to Sydney to see the agricultural shows, play at the amusement fair and for kids at least, to grab those coveted showbags.
