Erin Molan's special surprise for her daughter's first birthday
Erin Molan has shared some happy family news on her daughter’s first birthday.
The 36-year-old welcomed her first daughter, Eliza Emily Ogilvy, on June 6, 2018.
Now the date has become even more special for Molan as her younger sister gave birth to her niece, Grace Anne, on the same day this year.
“So today is a very special day... my baby was born one year ago... my little sister and I are 12 months apart – today she gave birth to the most perfect little girl – Grace Anne,” she wrote on Instagram.
“So my baby and her baby were born on the exact same day one year apart.
“Don’t get me wrong – Eliza was seriously... seriously p*ssed when I told her she would have to share her birthday and all the attention with her brand new cousin … but I know as she gets older she will genuinely enjoy having joint parties EVERY SINGLE YEAR!!!!”
In an interview with 9Honey last month, the Nine sports presenter said her first year of motherhood “has been incredible, amazing, perfection, chaos, living hell at times”.
“I’ve absolutely loved it and didn’t realise how capable I was of changing entirely everything – the way I think, the way I feel, the way I do things – just straight away after having Eliza,” she said.
Molan said while parenthood has been a “bizarre and confusing journey”, it is also “the best, most rewarding thing I’ve ever done”.
