It's a boy! Adriano Zumbo welcomes first child
Renowned pastry chef Adriano Zumbo and his wife, reality star Nelly Riggio, are celebrating the arrival of their son.
On a Tuesday evening, the 41-year-old dessert maestro and his 32-year-old spouse, Nelly, shared their joyous news via Instagram. The heartwarming announcement featured a precious black-and-white photograph capturing their newborn son nestled in his hospital crib, with a tiny identification tag adorning his ankle. In the caption, they chose brevity and sweetness, punctuating the moment with a single love heart emoji.
The couple, however, opted to keep their baby's name under wraps, adding an element of mystery to their announcement.
The news of their new family member was met with an outpouring of well-wishes from their circle of celebrity friends.
MasterChef Australia judge Melissa Leong expressed her congratulations with an exclamation of excitement. Sydney's dessert connoisseur, Katherine Sabbath, couldn't contain her enthusiasm, and star pastry chef Kirsten Tibballs extended her heartfelt congratulations.
Back in May, the couple initially disclosed their pregnancy, revealing their impending parenthood through heartfelt Instagram posts on Mother's Day. The accompanying photo showcased Nelly's growing baby bump as Adriano lovingly held a green macaron in front of her belly. The caption read, "We are baking something very special… Most definitely our greatest creation yet. Little baby macaron due November."
This news came just a year after their intimate wedding ceremony in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland. In May of the previous year, the couple exchanged vows at Tiffany's at Maleny, offering breathtaking views of the Glass House Mountains.
Their journey began in 2016 when they went public with their relationship shortly after Nelly's appearance on My Kitchen Rules, where she had been with her then-boyfriend, JP Huillet. In May 2021, Nelly shared her engagement to the accomplished pastry chef on her Instagram page, marking yet another significant milestone in their love story.
