Larry Emdur celebrates milestone birthday
Larry Emdur is 60!
The beloved TV host has celebrated his milestone birthday with a massive cake and thanked fans for all their "beautiful birthday wishes".
Emdur shared his gratitude for the "incredible year" he's had with a video message to his fans on Instagram.
“Thank you for my beautiful birthday wishes,” he began.
“I can’t believe that I am 60 years old. It feels like only yesterday that I was the young kid, the cheeky, naughty little kid in the 7 newsroom. Now I’m the old man of the business , I can’t believe it.
“It’s been such an incredible year and I just wanted to take a second to thank you because that’s because of you.
“All the good stuff that’s happening is because of you.
“If you’ve been watching The Morning Show and or The Chase, thank you. These shows are only on because you’re watching.”
He then went on to reflect on his achievements this past year, including his Gold Logie win, the release of his book and the launch of his own whiskey brand.
“All of this great stuff that’s happening in my life is happening because of you,” he continued.
“And I wanted to thank you very much."
He then ended his message on a humorous note, saying: “Now I’m just going to have a really early dinner and finish applying for my Seniors Card but thank you.”
