Larry Emdur shares emotional first dance with his daughter
Larry Emdur has shared a behind the scenes glimpse at his daughter's wedding day, sharing the emotional moment they shared their father-daughter dance.
The Morning Show host walked his daughter Tia, 24, down the aisle as she married her long-term boyfriend Rowell Jauco at Sydney's St Mary's Cathedral on Saturday.
Larry posted a photo of the moment he gave his daughter away, and also shared a small clip of their father-daughter dance together at the wedding reception.
In the clip, Larry was every inch the father of the bride as the pair tenderly danced to the classic hit Lean On Me, performed by friend and performer Guy Sebastian.
On Sunday, the TV star wrote a heartfelt essay about the big day, writing, “Yesterday was one of the happiest, most tearful days of my life.”
“Yesterday, I walked my baby girl down the aisle, at the end of the aisle I had to place her hand on his, I didn’t want to let her hand go, but it was time, and it was right.”
“I gently placed Tia’s hand on Ro’s and sat down to cry a bit more — and just when I thought I didn’t have any tears left, it was time for the daddy/daughter dance,” he said.
“More tears, more love, more moments I’ll treasure until the day I die.”

Emdur then later shared a photo of the newlyweds together, writing, “Dear Ro, please look after my baby girl."
Larry announced Tia's engagement in November last year, sharing his wishes for his daughter in the next chapter of her life.
“All a father like me can hope and pray for is that one day his baby girl finds a partner who will love and adore, respect and admire, cherish and protect her the way he’s tried to,” Larry wrote.
“Well, that partner has arrived and we feel very, very blessed."
