Matildas star welcomes baby boy
Matildas star Katrina Gorry and fiancée Clara Markstedt have announced the birth of their second child, a beautiful baby boy named Koby Peter David Gorry.
The couple took to Instagram on Wednesday to announce the news, with a few photos of big sister Harper cuddling up to her baby brother.
“Big sister is absolutely in love and our hearts are so full,” they wrote.
Baby Koby's middle name pays tribute to Markstedt’s late father, Peter Markstedt, who died during last year’s World Cup.
Markstedt’s Sweden teammate Linda Sembrant, was one of the first to congratulate the family.
"Stop it!!! Congrats guys. Sooo happy for your little fam 😍" wrote Aussie soccer player Caitlin Cooper.
Fans also congratulated the couple, with many commenting on how he looks just like his big sister.
"Congratulations !! He’s absolutely perfect and a double of harper omg," one wrote.
"He’s here! And oh so perfect. Congratulations to you all. 😍" added another.
"He is the absolute spitting image of Harper, all the congratulations to you both," wrote a third.
Markstedt gave birth to Koby, while Gorry gave birth to the couple’s firstborn, Harper, in 2021, who has become an unofficial mascot of the Matildas team, after the public fell in love with her.
