"Miss you like sleep:" Hugh Sheridan’s sweet tribute to Denis
Hugh Sheridan has paid loving tribute to his late father Denis Sheridan on what would have been his 77th birthday.
The Packed to the Rafters star shared a collection of images of special moments between him and his dad on Instagram, along with a heartwarming message.
“Happy birthday Dad. I love you ❤️,” Sheridan wrote.
“I miss you like sleep. And there’s nothing romantic about the hours I keep. The morning when it starts. I don’t look so sharp. Now I got a heavy heart - Tim Rodgers.”
Fellow Packed to the Rafters star Rebecca Gibney shared her sympathies with the 35-year-old actor.
“Love love love to your darling heart 🙌❤️❤️❤️”, she commented on the post.
The news of Denis’ passing came in May, when his cousin, fashion designer Neville Quist, shared the sad news on social media.
Denis passed away after battling terminal cancer.
It is believed that his declining health prompted Sheridan to propose to his boyfriend Kurt Roberts in March, as he wanted his dad to be around for his wedding which was scheduled for New Year’s Eve this year.
“I said to Kurt, ‘If we are going to get married then we should probably do it sooner rather than later’,” he said at the time.
