Today entertainment reporter signs off for special assignment

Today entertainment reporter Renee Bargh has been farewelled by her co-hosts as she prepares to give birth to her baby daughter.

The 38-year-old journalist, who welcomed her first child Tide with partner Andrew Lange in 2023, was joined by Karl, Sarah and the entire Today cast on Wednesday morning to commemorate her last day on the show before becoming a mum of two.

"I'm going to miss you guys a lot and I love that everyone keeps saying, 'how excited are you going on maternity leave? You're going to get so much rest, like, no more alarm clocks'," Renee laughed at the idea of having two children under the age of three to look after.

With Renee ready to welcome her little girl into the world, the Today team gave her a fitting send off, with a bouquet of pink flowers and an adorable Today onesie for the newborn to wear proudly.

"From all of us here, it's such a special time and you're a special lady - it's wonderful to see you off and we can't wait to meet the little one," Karl beamed.

Renee first announced her pregnancy in August during a live cross for Today, just weeks after joining the panel of the show.

Bargh debuted her growing baby bump while on hosting duties for the TV Week Logies, sharing an Instagram post of her in full glam the bump with the caption, "Baby girl's first red carpet."
