Turia Pitt welcomes second child
Turia Pitt has welcomed her second child with fiancé Michael Hoskin.
The 32-year-old took to Instagram on Sunday to announce the birth of her second son Rahiti.
The name Rahiti is understood to be of Polynesian origin, meaning “rising sun” or “sunrise”.
“Maeva i te ao nei! Welcome to the world Rahiti,” Pitt wrote alongside a snap of her holding the baby boy in her arms.
The post has received more than 10,600 comments congratulating the mother-of-two on the news.
“Congrats lovely and much love to you and the family,” model Megan Gale commented.
“Just beautiful!!!! Well done mum,” The Project host Lisa Wilkinson said.
“Oh how wonderful!! Congratulations beautiful Mama! And welcome to the world Rahiti,” presenter Jess Rowe added.
Pitt and Hoskin are also parents to son Hakavai, who was born in December 2017.
In October 2018, Pitt told Stellar magazine that having a child had changed her priorities.
“I no longer have any desire to do an ironman,” the burns survivor said.
“I don’t want to be out running for five hours straight. I know how precious life is, and I’d rather be with my son.”
